I don't think that's even close to being correct because as I mentioned, there were more than 560 arrests alone Saturday night in DTLA, all of which was broadcast on Live local TV for nearly 3 days straight.

But whatever the number, whether it's 7,000 or even 10,000 arrests across the country, it pales in comparison to the number of peaceful protesters.

if we're going there, how about all the cops (denver, where they shoot tear gas and then open fire on a car with a pregnant woman. I repeat. a pregnant woman) that are using this situation to gleefully abuse their position?!?

how about warning the proud boys before they are going to tear gas so they don't hurt their own? sorry, proud boys seem awfully close to a certain youth movement in germany in the early 1940's...

yeah. let's talk about that. that's what these players are trying to do. let's not move goalposts.

Dane how can they possibly have possibly caught most of the rioters/protestors? It seems almost impossible given all the craziness and people wearing masks. At first, they were pretty much allowing it to happen too. The arrests didn’t start picking up until after.

Regardless, the person I originally quoted was talking specifically about rioters/looters and my point still stands.

It’s foolish think rioters/looters really care especially when they tell you they don’t.

It swings both ways, there are plenty of people that have been arrested for standing there and yelling. People shot in the face with rubber bullets, an old man got shoved to the ground for walking.

It swings both ways.

let's keep killing more innocent black men and see if they're just happy to be here, right?

Not in LA. Police cars set up barricades as did lines of policemen. There's no real way to "escape" in DTLA, especially with multiple helicopters overhead filming everything.

I saw the arrests live on TV Saturday from the Fairfax district and again, the police had up barricades everywhere.

I must have missed this part of the conversation: Has someone actually said that the people looting care about this issue? I don't think that's the case, at all. That's just people taking advantage of a terrible situation.

But again, that's a very, very, very small percentage when compared to the total number of peaceful protesters across the country.

I mean **** the constitution basically encourages citizens to rise up against the government, not that they want you to think about that anymore.

Well, I'd point out that since the other cops were arrested and the increase in charges of the original one I think the violence has seen a significant drop among the protesters. Whether you watch Fox, CNN, MSNBC they all seem to agree that the looting has seen a drop-off recently.

thomas jefferson once argued that there should be a bloody revolution every generation or so.

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

Is there any other parts of the constitution that you don't like? Where does it stop for you then? Do you want to tell the players what to wear, who to date, let us know where the overreach into ending people's amendments issue stop? Players are people too and have rights just like all of us do.
In your private life you have all of the options of the constitution. I'll stand shoulder to shoulder with anyone who wants to protest on the rights given to us by the Constitution. On the job you have to abide by the rules of the company or they will let you go. If you go into work everyday and start saying that upper management is terrible and start creating dissension among the employees, you will be warned. The company wants harmony to be able to maintain production. If you continue, you will be let go. The First amendment guarantees your right of free speech but it does not guarantee there won't be repercussions from it. The NFL already tells the players what they can wear because the players are employed by the company. If the don't abide, there are repercussions.

Colin Kaepernick would still be on a team if he was an elite player. He was deemed that he wasn't good enough for the headache, had say DeShaun Watson done it, he'd still be playing.

You’d think this would be obvious based on the fact that many players that did kneel are still in the NFL.

I just watched it again to make sure I wasn't missing anything. They never said 'demand' they requested the NFL say something. As to the rest of your point the NFL should condemn racism-that's a good thing. Black, white, asian, latino and everyone else should get along and the NFL should back that statement. If they wanna make the statement then they can.

I'd also point out that a lot of what people had a problem with Kaep doing was that he did it during a game and if he did it while not playing for the team then they wouldn't have a problem with it. Would you agree that making this statement made during the summer on their own time qualifies for that? You're cool with people expressing their 1st amendment rights I assume....?
