McRib is back this week: McDonald’s fan-fave makes nationwide return for 1st time in

McDonald’s McRib sandwich will return Wednesday, its first nationwide comeback since 2012.

“The McRib has been a beloved menu item at McDonald’s since its inception nearly 40 years ago,” Vice President of Menu Innovation Linda VanGosen said in a release. “We’re proud to serve the McRib nationwide for everyone to enjoy.”

The popular sandwich, which debuted on menus in 1982, will be back in the U.S. for a limited time, unlike in Germany, where it’s available year-round.

The McRib features boneless pork topped with barbecue sauce, onions and pickles. Last year, McDonald’s sold the sandwich at 10,000 of its 14,000 restaurants in the U.S.

I just can't stand the sweet sauce. Never have understood the KC attraction with sweet sauces. And the texture is just wrong; real meat has grain and McRib is just an injection molded gelatinous food product.

And McRib isn't "BBQ" just like putting BBQ sauce on a turkey sandwich isn't "BBQ".
Yeah I like to pay about the same price for a highly processed garbage pork that's ground into a paste fillers added and pressed to form a rib shape. Then add a order of fries and hope it's hot and fresh. Then the race is on to eat before they cool so they dont taste like the cardboard they serve them in. Then wait in a drive through that takes as long as sitting down ordering in a bbq joint.

Yep such stupid people those who crave the real deal for no appreciable difference in price. Such stupidity!

Then just say there is no reason to eat fast food at all. There will always be a better burger or taco. But people don't always want to call ahead, wait 20 mins, drive and park to go inside and pick it up.

All to-go food comes in a container, what makes fast food containers any worse?

Your comments are nothing but unoriginal shit-talking from an angry man with a keyboard. "ermahgerd fast food is gross!"

I don't think the lines are like they were for Popeye's Chicken sandwich because there are just so damn many McDonald's around. That and they are pretty fast at getting the food out.

I used to work at McD's back in the 80's. We had a timer at the drive thru and we were supposed to get the bag to the customer inside of I believe 60 seconds from when they complete the order and are told to pull forward. Even on the busiest of days, we were pretty damn quick with it. I don't know if they do that nowadays though. And, if you had a special order, all bets were off.

Yeah it's pretty good. Tastes like real meat. Obviously better rib sandwiches around town, but for fast food. Pretty good and great commercial where they mock the McRib.

WHAAAAATTT
