Yeah so far so good. KU looks pretty good here. One name. And it's not even the player, it went to the mom and it was only $2700. No indication any coaches are facilitating anything. That is how you get nailed, if the coaches are the ones facilitating this shit. I'm sure no player is going to a school for $2700.

There have been a few cases of a KU player or parent taking money from an agent, and the outcome has always varied based on when it was discovered. A couple guys were discovered before their freshman year and they had to sit out about 10 games (DJax, Selby). Cliff was discovered toward the end of the year, and their whole family shut their mouth and he sat the rest of the season, with nothing vacated. Who knows what would have happened with Preston. But this is the first case it was discovered after a player left.

Didn't Shaq just come out and say LSU paid him? And nothing could be done?

They would have to prove a transfer of funds, just because some guy had it written down is smoke but no fire. If they can prove a transfer, then what? Do you vacate wins from the point of exchange? Depending on when a transfer took place, if enough wins are vacated, does this then vacate the Big XII title from last year?

Josh Selby got $5,000. Got 9 games.

Plus it was to a parent without Josh Jacksons knowledge (probably).

Cam Newton's dad got $100,000 and they were like, well shit what can we do it wasn't to Cam and Cam said he didn't know about it.
