Zilla, I just asked someone about Todd Gurley and he is being investigated at this point. So it is not known if he was making money on those signatures. According to Jimbo Fisher Jameis was not making money signing those autographs.

Winston's autographs are authenticated as coming from the same person who handled Gurley's autographs. They have to prove somebody got paid for it. But it's more than just a "we found some autographs on eBay."

Well, I only have an oral report from someone who has kept up on this and it is yet to be a fact for either of them.

I don't see anything wrong about the facts as I've stated them. NY Times had a good article about the curious handling of matters involving FSU players by Tallahassee police. There are several excellent responses to the FSU timeline, one by the Washington Post that questions why they never followed through with the Title IX inquiry and one by Fox Report which lays heavier allegations about how FSU handled the matter suspiciously. And on the autograph front, there is a definite linkage between Winston's autographs and the group that handled Gurley's. There is no smoking gun. But there is a connection to the guy who smoked out Gurley. I said that these things mean it's been a real bad week for FSU. Even if they are found innocent of all these things. I don't have an opinion right now until I see proof of what actually happened. I just hope the investigation is handled fairly, knowing the way the NCAA comically handled the Oregon and Miami investigations. |

As for the rest it's still an allegation at this point. Last edited by BucEyedPea; 10-13-2014 at 08:06 PM.. |

There is no proof Winston took payment for them. Which is why I haven't said he's guilty. |

They may not be able to prove that he took payment, but only a naive person would believe he signed those items for nothing. |

I have 3 posts where I said Winston has not been proven guilty of anything. I have not in any way said Winston is guilty of anything. I am responding to your post where you sounded like the connection between Winston's autographs and Gurley's authentication group was not a fact. It is a fact. Again, that doesn't mean he was paid for them. I have stated that three times. It will be investigated and it should be. Until the results of the investigation come out, I'm not going to say he's guilty or not guilty. |

Lemme ask you guys a question:
What about these commercial autograph dealers even approaching college athletes for signatures? Shouldn't they be stopped because they get student athlete's in trouble? Or can they not be stopped? If they get the signatures, any money made of the item should belong to the university where the student attends. It's like working for somebody. If you invent or create something while working for someone else they get the money ( and the credit pretty much). |

There IS a governing body that determines the eligibility of Jameis Winston, and it's his responsibility to follow the rules. |
