This has been a fun thread. It just makes me wonder how someone gets so disenfranchised that everything in life is the result of a huge conspiracy. Personal failings, sporting events, job, life matters etc are all controlled by someone else so there's no reason for introspective evaluation or change. I worry that people who have the view point that everything is fixed against them will eventually lash out at the person or people who they believe to be running things.

Or, more likely some innocent alter boy will take some shrapnel from a pipe bomb while his priest is three knuckles deep. WTF do I know, maybe it's all rigged?!

I will summarize this thread in that I wish I didn't know this shit...I wish there wasn't a reason to even consider these things. NFL is like any other organization it starts out nice and people work hard but as it grows and hires more employees greed and fame can make people cheat so it's not unlikely that some teams cheat or find favor with refs because those refs maybe of influence and don't get paid what they think they are worth so they take side money and end up making calls or not making calls that indirectly or directly can alter the outcome of a game. I think this is plausible and should also be investigated but not necessarily a fact but just suspicions.


The NFL is huge so there must be corrupt business men that do things under owners blind eyes or even with an open eye just not looking. It's sad that professionals think they have to cheat to take advantage of the rules or get the upper hand but it happens. Mark McGuire comes to mind but it cost him more than it was worth imo. I don't think Pete Rose cheated but he did gamble and influence the integrity of MLB and he got black balled from the sport he loved. Again not worth it.


NFL is not exempt to corruption but teams still have opportunities across the board across the league to hire/fire draft or FA to make themselves better for competition. I think staying on top for so long is a lot harder than getting there to fall off the mountain so the Patriots got caught cheating. That doesn't make conspiracy that the league wants them to win more championships they've been punished it just turns out with great coaching and lack of competition for themselves to be broken or dismantled then that team continues to thrive over all the weaker teams in the league.


People can make up their minds for what they see or not see but by what they believe also. I don't want to think conspiracy just want to enjoy the game for what it was meant to be otherwise it's just not fun because that wouldn't give my team any hope. NFL is for entertainment purposes so is WWE weather I believe it's real or not they are athletes doing incredible things that I can't do.


I would think if it is faked and what not the league would owe the Chiefs a Super Bowl for the Belcher incident but that's not even talked about around the league like it never happened. So you actually have to earn your opportunity to go to the Super Bowl.

So if you're so confident in your fantasy, then why don't you show everybody the truth?
