Anybody use a room/space heater that is safe for pets?

It's cold. I have 3 pets. Every space heater I've owned burned to the touch.

Right now it's between 25 at night and 50 in the day, and inside my house its a constant 40 degrees or so. I'm San Diegan, therefore, that is immensely cold.

Anyone have a safe for pet space heater that you recommend?

Thanks.

Heh he could move up here to Montana for two weeks and by the time he went home I bet that apartment would seem downright balmy.

Awww...that's a little cutie good dog. Looks a little pitbull-ish.
I have a Heat Dish from Costco. Dog loves to plant herself in front of it.
Here's the thing--dogs learn quickly. If he gets too close, it won't hurt too bad--and he'll never do it again.

Didn't realize you wanted a heater to run all day while you're gone. That's a little different.
Other than putting it somewhere high the dog can't get to, not sure I trust anything sitting on the floor all day.

No that's not what I want. I want the heater to run while I'm home, and sleeping at night. I want it to be cool to the touch, and safe to run while I'm sleeping.

Pretty benign
Bob Dole heats a 1200 foot house with 3 of them. They are awesome.

Get a couple of oil radiators, and that could be enough. They are safe to leave on for a dozen hours with no worry. Anywhere from 60-120 bucks each.

I would just pick up a vornado if that's the case and be done with it. As someone else stated, be aware that electric heaters are money suckers so use accordingly. I guess it's still better than freezing your ass off.

Heat dish. Safe enough for this kitty cat.

The Honeywell Oil-Filled Radiator provides even, consistent, electric heating. Its EnergySmart technology makes this unit not only powerful but energy efficient as well. Its adjustable thermostat silently outputs three settings of heat, providing whole room comfort. The HZ-789 is also very safe featuring overheat protection and a tip-over switch. Use the 1- to 12-hour adjustable timer to keep this heater running only as long as you want it to be. Easily move this thermostat radiator from one location to another using the luggage-style handle and the easy glide wheels. Adjusting the temperature settings is quick and easy to do using the digital controls.

infrared heaters but you still don't get cold a enough to need one. Try -11 and we can maybe talk again. Try burning your Chargers gear.

One like this is the one to get. I have a Sun Comfort version. Works well inexpensive heat and will do a whole house if its not like 20 degrees out
