Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Agreed.

And honestly, my local guy is always within $20-$30 of any online price I find. His FFL fee is $25, so my three purchases in the past year were found online, but purchased from his stock.

you can also find individuals who are FFL. I transfered one with him, simply because I didn't want to screw with the Bullet Hole (or Butthole, like Fish likes it).

Thankfully, Bullet Hole actually has competition. That place is the Cleveland of shooting ranges, with the hospitality Chris Brown.

Agreed. Thank goodness they aren't the only indoor range around anymore.

I had good experiences with OMB Guns in Olathe.

Their shooting range is far superior to the Bullet Hole. You can even rent several full auto guns, and a Barrett .50 cal rifle.

And I had a smooth FFL transfer with them several weeks ago. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Buds has an FFL link that is a tremendous resource, whether you buy from them or not.

Yep. I'm really impressed with their range. Wish it was a little cheaper, but it's worth it. And they're not assholes

I think a new one opened out around K7 and Bridgeview or something? Western part of OP; almost olathe.

Centerfire Shooting Sports, just off Ridgeview and Kansas City Road, behind the DMV building. I haven't been there yet, but I've heard good things about them.

I would like to add... please don't buy from Buds, cheaper than dirt, or dicks sporting goods. These three guys overinflated the price off guns and lost a large buyer base as a result. I've personally purchased from these three online stores: Buds, Atlantic Firearms, Grabagun, and Lanbo's Armory.

Buds was the fastest to ship followed by Atlantic, and then Grabagun. Lanbo's Armory while they do have excellent customer service, they took the longest to ship.

good to know. Also, I'd expect some heavy defense from a used car dealer...

I have yet to pay sales tax on a gun I have purchased from another state.

People in Cali probably get taken in the ass I would assume.

You said don't buy from Buds then to buy from them.

I don't understand.
