Just out of curiosity, I looked at my account, and I was made an administrator on April 10th, 2008. Though I kind of stepped back on the mod duties for a few years, it's crazy to me that I've been trying to keep you guys from killing each other for over a decade.

Anyway, feel free to ask questions about the past 10 years as a mod, what it's like working for one of CP's most illustrious members, why Denver is an OK place despite the stench wafting over from the Broncos, or whatever.

Or don't. I could just ban people randomly instead, which might be about as fun.

Nah. I don't think I've ever banned anyone or even booted them for a thread for anything anyone's said to me personally. I'm definitely not the "internet is serious business type."

Biggest was and somehow remains the epic Dane vs. R8ers blow up from back in 2011 or so. It's incredibly difficult to figure out where to draw the line on insults on a board that prides itself on loose moderation.

Probably neither. A majority of the stuff I've done around here is probably more on the "admin" side than the "mod" side. I do think I've had a role in making the place more usable over the years, so I guess that's more on the good side.

It's hard to think back on anyone from the past and remember it clearly. Midnight Vulture was one of the worst but became one of my favorite stories after we managed to out him as a fraud. There is a laundry list of either incredibly stupid or incredibly trolling posters over the years that aren't worth much.

But for the most part, very few posters really get under my skin on a personal level, so I'm sorry that I don't have any better answers here.

Becoming a mod doesn't do it, but the first time you wield the ban hammer you have to make sure there's no one standing in front of you.

Forgive me if I'm forgetting, but...do I know you? I'm close with Dr. B. I was president of the choir for 3 years and worked as his assistant for two. I went to his retirement ceremony in Wichita last February.

I'd call him one of the top five influencers on my life.

Heh...don't sweat it dude. I think a majority of people around here enjoy your posting style (and that's not to say that I don't for the most part). Variety is what makes CP great, so you do you.
