So... some of my fellow Bucs fans think you hate your team

I haven't read the thread, so forgive me.

I don't think ANYONE hates the team.

I think what some folks hate is that we have a defense producing at a historic level, and it's very likely going to get wasted against playoff teams because our offense isn't up to the task.

Great point from the Gonzalez thread:

Quote:
6. Seasons Like This Don’t Come Along Very Often

As much as we all like to think that this season is just the beginning of many winning years in the Andy Reid / John Dorsey era, there simply aren’t any guarantees that the Chiefs will be in this good of position again. The Chiefs are on pace for the #1 seed and homefield advantage in the playoffs. Easy schedule or not, the Chiefs need to do EVERYTHING in their power to capitalize on this opportunity. KC has found ways to win and that is commendable, but they must continue to find ways to improve if they want to win a Super Bowl. Gonzalez makes them better. No 8-0 team should be focused solely on the future. An 8-0 team should be focused on trying to win it all.
There are no guarantees. This might be it, and people are disappointed that one player - at the most important position in professional sports - is likely going to keep the team from meeting their goal.

So you acknowledge that QB is the most important position on the field while at the same time insinuating that the QB has had nothing to do with the team having the best record in football. Makes sense...

Link to where he said "nothing"?

Alex isn't losing us games so that's "something". Is he going to put the team on his back and win games? No, and that's what a lot of use are looking for.

So Geno was this guy that you were looking for this year and the same guy OTWP thought could elevate the qb play to take advantage of this "once in a lifetime D"

Not losing is a key component to winning.

I was looking for the Chiefs to draft and develop a QB this year instead of taking a RT expecting the defense to improve somewhat, but not play at historic levels.

They did.

Shit. There were people on this very board who were willing to spend a very high draft pick on this guy and Dorsey basically got him for free.

And people still bitch simply because the Chiefs didn't burn a first round pick on him.

I mean...people around here actually wanted this team to spend a first rounder on Jimmy ****ing Clausen. Let that sink in for a minute. They would have actually been thrilled to piss away a first rounder on Jimmy Clausen just because he was a QB and we had a first round pick.

That's some seriously stupid mother ****ers right there. Almost to a man the same stupid mother ****ers who continue to bitch fest this place up after every goddamn win (that's 8-0 for you stupid mother ****ers) because Smith wasn't a first round draft pick for this team. They don't care that this team is 8-0. They don't care about the fact that the real change on the field from a 2-14 team a year ago was Smith. (Yeah, the defense is basically the exact same guys who gave you that 2-14 season just one year ago, same with Bowe, Charles, etc.) They see 8-0 and now they are making excuses why we won't go far in the playoffs. Shit, we could win the Super Bowl this year and these same stupid mother ****ers would have their panties in a knot screaming about how we won't win back to backs because we didn't draft our own QB in the first round.

Jimmy Clausen.

Dumb as shit mother ****ers.
