ESPN rates NFL franchises "Most Memorable Moment"
The Chiefs went yesterday and the obvious answer didn't even win (although it was one of 3 nominated and is running in 2nd place for some crazy reason). Teicher wrote the column so I'm not sure if he was the nominator for our candidates. If you want to see what is first, be prepared to be completely underwhelmed:
http://espn.go.com/blog/afcwest/post...s-mnf-thriller Incidentally we were the victims of another team's most memorable play. I've never heard of this play and the choice I would've made is running a close 2nd place to it: http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago-bear...tops-jim-brown |

After 40+ years of inept play and playoff failure, the most memorable moment for many should be the TD catch and spike of Buddy Ryan poster.
I remember it well All the talking heads said Buddy's defense was gonna steamroll the chiefs Hell, even Lenny the cool predicted a blowout on Inside the NFL The moment and the remainder of the game was glorious |

For plays that I have seen:
Montana to Davis DT strip sack of Warren Moon in the playoffs Marcus Allen diving over the Donks in the Snow Dante Hall punt return against Denver For Chiefs plays overall: Lenny to Otis TD in the Super Bowl Tommy Booker kick against the Oilers |

When we went down 7 with 1:12 left and no TOs, my uncle and cousin left early to beat the traffic. To this day neither of them want to talk about it. Last edited by suzzer99; 07-10-2014 at 10:21 PM.. |

Tracy Greene caught a long pass down the middle to set up first and goal against the Broncos in that '93 Montana game. |

I'll always remember Dwayne Rudd throwing his helmet as John Tait rumbled down the field, as well.
Dale Carter bringing back a punt for a TD on his first NFL punt return was pretty cool, too. |

Yeah, he threw two different game examples out there.
Bono, lol. Wasn't that Valerio outrunning Bono to the endzone? I think he actually let up to make sure Bono got past him so he could block someone (that wasn't necessary). I remember Buddy Ryan was asked about that play in the post game interview. He said he had instructed his defense to not let Marcus Allen get any first downs on short to-go situations, so they absolutely sold out with an 11 man blitz to stop Marcus, never noticing that Bono was jogging leisurely 76 yards for a TD. |

So Im young, Montana to Davis was the first sports moment that sent me running around the house and woke up my parents.
Not in the top 5, but what about the pick 6 in OT vs the Raiders when the ref gave the block to spring (was it James Hasty?) for the TD.

Yeah, that was Hasty. Tim Brown was super-duper pissed at that ref. Another great game.

The Rison catch and Stoyanovich field-goal in the same year are up there.
Also the LJ dive - "It's gotta be a quick pass. Gotta be a quick pass." |

This is pretty cool....Montana hitting Tim Barnett in the Steeler playoff game (our last home playoff win, 21 years ago!) with the radio call dubbed over it...
