Yeah, you can. But the money you paid could have been used for someone else, so it would still be painful.

But you're right. It's not like he sucks up cap space going forward.

I honestly have no idea why I cut Jeff Saturday. In fact, I don't really recall doing so.

I just looked on the FA list, saw him there and remembered "wait...wasn't on my team last year?"

I must've just cut him lose when he announced his retirement...on account of being an idiot and all. Sure wouldn't have minded having him on the roster for $0.

Moron.

I think I did the same thing to a couple of guys. I knew that they were still good for a year, but as I was making my cuts I thought, "Eh, retired", and cut them. Or actually, I think my guys were cut rather than retired.

Of course, none of them made the pro bowl in their last year.

I was thinking for a while that I might actually sneak him under the radar for $1. Dang it.

I feel like Scott Pioli probably wouldn't have cut anyone on accident.

So he has that on me, at least.

The bidding for CBs accurately reflects this fan base's obsession with them.

In league 2, I have Casey Hayward and Champ, and I'm bidding on Sherman, Harris, Pacman, and Tony Carter. I think I'm more obsessed than most.

League one has a lot more cash or the bidding is faster or something.

Marshall Newhouse being that high is insane.

Also, it looks like league two may have done a better job of initial drafting...there's less talent in FA unless I am mistaken.

I don't know if this is true, but the available cash could be higher in League 1 just due to contract strategies. Also, there are fewer people in League 1 who aren't active yet than in League 2 (3 vs. 6, I think) which could be keeping League 2's prices down a bit. I wish all those folks would jump in.
