Bungie's Destiny Will be Revealed in 5 Days

Yesterday we brought to you the news that a reveal of Bungie's next project, Destiny, was being hinted at for this upcoming Monday, February 18 – an augmented-reality game on the studio's website seemed to be pointing toward that date. Well, we won't have to wait quite that long. It's now been announced that Destiny will be unveiled one day earlier than we thought, on this Sunday, February 17.
An official Facebook page went live today and made that announcement as its first order of business. A Twitter account for the game has also been activated as well.

Without knowing exactly what you're ordering I would guess the edition on psn is the guardian edition, which is a ce. The extra $20 is basically for the expansion pass, which will be (I think) $15 each or $25 together. 2 expansions announced so far.

That'll work. I would go the premium route either way.

I'll probably start over even if it does. I always screw up stuff while learning a new game. Unless I get some insane drop (not likely...).

My guess is they're saying this as an incentive to get people to grind in beta. More data to crunch. But who knows. It's exceedingly rare, but occasionally games do carry beta progress over.

The Digital Guardian Edition will save you 5 bucks overall.

I don't see what the big deal would be if some progress was carried over from the beta. They're probably going to have a level cap again and during the alpha you couldn't even use rare weapons/armor because they were above the level cap.

Have to say I think xbox owners have a legitimate beef. A year is a long time for a "timed exclusive". But on the flip side, it's why I have a ps4 now, so kudos to sony for smart marketing.

Some of that stuff looks great.

I understand 3 months max. But a year is complete BS. I actually would love to see it hardly sell any copies on xbone out of spite to end that silly shit..

I think it was a big FU to MS for keeping halo IP, which they bought from my understanding. I wonder how MS will counter, and will buy out another IP like titanfall outright. They have the money. Surprised they are not doing it more.

That is my understanding, Each expansion they will give extra stuff in weapons, skins and maps to PS4.. Xbone will not be able to get that until a full year later, and even then it might not be all of the items like skins.

Which sucks, because generally a year after launch. Most of the time you can pick up gold copies with all that shit included for free for most games at a price of like 20 to 30 dollars.

That might be the case, but I think Sony has also put a lot of money into the title.

Same here. I remember restarting Fallout 3 several times before I had everything lined up the way I wanted it.

If I'm lazy I'll just read how others have done it but if I really like the game I'll experiment.

If anybody gets a Beta key for ps3 for this, I will buy one off of them for $5 or $10. I'm getting a ps4 before the game comes out so I don't want to preorder it right now.

1. Preorder a PS3 copy on Amazon and you'll get a beta access code immediately
2. Get a bungie account and verify your platform of choice.
3. Once you get into the beta cancel your preorder on Amazon.
