So is Landon Collins the official “trade for him Veach” flavor of the week?

Starting to be more and more mentions of him being a possible trade target on Twitter. I wouldn’t be against it depending on what they want. Dude is a stud and he dominated us last year (sorry to bring it up). Any chance it happens?

The Giants aren't going to need ammo to move up. They are going to already be up. But they could use another first round pick I am guessing.

I’d give them a first and third for Clowney and Badger.

I’d send the other 2nd and another pick to Arizona for PP if he’s available, too.

I'll tell you what - I'd be hard pressed to give up something of value for ANY of the veterans on that Giants squad.

And I understand that may be completely unfair, but look at how that lockerroom has gone off the rails. Those guys seem to actively hate each other and for the most part play for themselves only. The veterans have just spent so much time in such a toxic environment there that I wonder how much residual funk would carry with them. Moreover, I'm not sure just how willing I am to ignore the fact that this dysfunction has taken place while Collins was one of the undisputed leaders of the squad.

Watching that game last night....jesus. They are so so screwed. They can't get out from under OBJ and you have guys like Apple dancing when he breaks up a pass down 3 scores (but only after looking like he's about to swing at a coach/teammate who is trying to get him off the field). Nobody respects anybody on that team and I just don't know how eager I'd be to take a guy approaching his walk year who's played 3-4 seasons with a mercenary mentality into this environment.

That kind of EbolAIDS could infect this lockerroom like MRSA.

A lot of conjecture, here. These people, for the most part, are still professionals playing a professional game.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I recognize that. Like I said - it may be unfair.

But there's a clinical definition of 'professional' - i.e. someone that gets paid for the job. And then there's a more colloquial definition - someone that does their job with an air of professionalism.

The Giants may be getting paid to play football, but there's nothing 'professional' about how they conduct themselves. And you're right - all I can do is base it on what I'm able to see, which is about 10% of what's relevant, but that's pretty much the inescapable truth of ALL message board chatter.

Again - Collins has been one of the chief leaders for this team as it gone flying off the rails. He's been immersed in a lockerroom that has openly used the words 'mutiny' within the last 14 months or so when referring to their head coach. The insanity that has permeated that team has been virtually unparalleled. That has to mean something.
