I was the first bidder on two guys I want at very reasonable prices. I got bid up once or twice, but nothing crazy, and then all of the sudden, an epic price war broke out and the prices skyrocketed. I think one difficulty is that people can just see that someone is going for $60 and think to themselves, "hey, this player must be good, I want to get in on the action."

If you're talking about someone that just went up this morning, it's because I just got access to my team.

Two guys so good you sat on your hands for 71 hours.

I don't mind a bidding war, but you're clearly just sorting by time remaining and plucking guys off the bottom.

I don't get it, shits not rocket surgery, either you want the guy or you don't.

Like for instance I went three days before I bid on this guy. Nobody else even looked at him. He was an hour and a half away from being mine at 35, he is now over 100 and looks like will continue to go up. Ridiculous

edit this is league 2 not 1

That is why I didn't jump in head first. Wait for people to use their money up where they plan to use it up, and see where I stand a fighting chance.

And the amount of money other people spend in that 71 hours has a direct bearing on how much they can afford in the next round of bids.

It sucks that we need the same positions, but I'm not going to bid according to what's good for you.

If you **** off some money because you think you have someone hemmed up, that's your problem.

If all I have to do is wait until you or someone else spends more than it will take to secure the guy you really want, why the **** would I tell you beforehand? shits not brain science.

There are 2-3 other teams doing the same thing. If we'd all just pick a guy and make a fair offer, we'd all get off cheaper.
I was having the same thought. I realized that there was one position where we all kept pushing up the bids and I finally thought, "I'll just let the other guys have some of their players." It lowers demand and I think helps us all out, as long as you don't end up with the last two owners desperate for the same last player at that position.

You toyed with that man's hopes. Now you're going to sign him and then immediately cut him after he buys a plane ticket to Denver and rents an apartment? That's cold.

Interestingly enough, the same thing happened in real life.
