Killer apps for Android?
Since there's an iPhone version, I figured I'd start a Droid version. After being handcuffed by Sprint's SERO plan for the past two years, I finally ordered my LG Optimus S last night. It'll be here in about 24 hours. So, what toys should I play with when it arrives?

Ya know surprisingly Splashtop works pretty well - though tough if you have a small screen, but who has that these days with android?

Anyone else use Flashfox browser?

Been using it for a few weeks - smooth browser that isn't a resource hog and will load full flash and full desktop version sites. Already my 2nd favorite browser and could quickly become 1a & 1b.

Seriously, Maps has taken about 10 steps back and lost a lot of functionality as well as the ui redesign being less friendly or well thought out.

This is 1 example, but why scrap the search filter feature "Open now"?

About a year and a half ago Maps was on the cusp of being on par with Garmin - and the convenience of always with you. Now... not a fat chance.

I have to agree with Bluth. I can still use it and get it done, but they've fubared it so bad, that quite honestly maps on ios is easier to use. I don't need stupid fancy, I need simple easy to use.

It's still functional, it's just gone backwards because they added so many goddamned finicky features.

I'm thinking of rooting my GS4. Getting tired of all the bloatware on the phone. I've never rooted a phone.

Has anyone rooted a GS4? Benefits? Drawbacks?
