***** OFFICIAL 2015 KANSAS FOOTBALL THREAD *****

Let's go...

Rob Likens (Offensive Coordinator)

"Rob has been a major player in some of the best offenses in the history of college football,” Beaty said of his new OC, who enjoyed great success at Louisiana Tech and helped lead Cal's 2013 offense to several school records and put the 2014 version in the Top 10 nationally. “I have always been a fan of Rob's ability to develop players who produce at a high level. Rob has learned from some of the best in the country and is as fine of an offensive mind as I have been around. Rob is a man of integrity and character and I cannot wait for our team to be able to benefit from his wisdom."

Zach Yenser (Offensive Line - Run Game Coordinator)

A source with knowledge of the rest of the Kansas University football coaching staff told The Journal-World on Tuesday night that Cal assistant coach Zach Yenser would join Beaty's staff as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator.

Cal coach Sonny Dykes later confirmed the news via a statement given to Cal's Rivals.com site.

Clint Bowen (Defensive Coordinator)

Je'Ney Jackson (Strength and Conditioning)

"Je'Ney brings a great familiarity with the University of Kansas as well as a wealth of experience in the strength and conditioning world," Beaty said. "His ability to develop and relate to our players will be a large part of our initiative moving forward. He is widely regarded as one of the top coordinators in this field. He is without a doubt, my most important hire and we are honored to have him here."

Kevin Kane (Linebackers)

"I always admired Kevin as a player, but I am even more impressed with his ability to teach and develop young players. He is a tireless recruiter and he is as well thought of in the Kansas City community as anyone I know. He will bring an energy and toughness to our team that we will all benefit from. It has been fun watching his linebackers play over the years and I'm glad that he is now coaching our guys.”

Calvin Thibodeaux (Defensive Line)

"His players exhibit responsibility, toughness and passion and we are looking forward to him bringing those elements to KU. His ability as a coach is only surpassed by his upstanding character and integrity as a man."

Klint Kubiak (Wide Receivers)

"He is as hard of a worker as I have ever seen in our profession. His ability to connect with his players in the NFL and at Texas A&M has been impressive to watch. Our wide receivers will benefit greatly from his experience."

Gene Wier (Director of High School Relations)

"Not only is he fulfilling a lifelong dream of becoming a Jayhawk, but he will certainly add a much-needed element to our staff. His long-standing relationships with the great coaches of the state will allow us to better understand and serve our coaches."

We played Baylor, OU, and Tech as their out of conference games regularly before joining the Big 12. Don't let that get in your way.

How much does it piss you off that we're better than you in every way except for early NCAA tournament exits?

It's KU. Other than the Chiefs it's the most popular program on CP.

Yes, better than you.

I don't have to lie about the TCU program or other programs to make my arguments like you do.

However you have to know your place if you're TCU when it takes schools with a much bigger brand like Nebraska to leave before you even get a seat at the table.

It is an interesting point. The Big 12 brought in a school with fewer than 10k students and is going to hand 10% of its payouts to them. TCU, by far the smallest school involved in major conference realignment, is milking the conference for all it's worth...so they must have had quite a bit of leverage.

Outgoing schools had 150,000 total students. Incoming schools had 30,000. Pretty sweet deal for those two schools if you ask me.

Conferences have always shifted since college sports began.

Schools of consequence are never the ones that move though.

To the Big 12 the schools that left are no different than the schools that joined. All involved in "realignment" are simply here to facilitate games for the blue-bloods.

What schools won the last two national championships in basketball? It seems like they both just moved conferences.

The Big 12 has 2 football national championships ever. Nebraska had 3 in the past 20 seasons when they left.

Not sure what your point is.

Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas all won National Championships while members of the Big 12.

Those are the blue-bloods I'm referring to.

In reference to your basketball point. Both UConn and Louisville left the Big East because that conference does not have full participation in football. Both UConn and Louisville desire to play football in Division 1.

They had no problem winning the Big East. Teams like TAMU, Nebraska, Missouri, etc. could never win their own league so they left. They still can't win their league. Like I said, fodder.

It's really that way for nearly all refugee schools. TCU should never have been given a full cut, and likewise neither should Mizzou. (After all we know Mizzou was willing to take a partial share for the BIG which the Cornfuggers snagged from them).

If MU and ATM had a choice it was: stay or go SEC. Both were so incredibly stricken by their victimhood they had to go. So why cut them in fully?

Do you honestly think TCU would have settled for not getting a full cut in perpetuity?
