Chiefs Gamblers, help me make a smart bet - Page 2

Raiders friend and I are entertaining a $1k bet on who ends up with the better overall record, Chiefs or Raiders.

We have very similar strength of schedule. What other factors do I need to be thinking of?

UPDATE - Two bets were made:
Bet 1: $1,000 - Whoever has the better overall record (if a tie, we look to draft order placement to determine the winner).
Bet 2: $500 - Head to Head winner (if a regular season tie, a rubber-match in the playoffs decides. If there is no 3rd game, we push).

If he is giving you even odds, it's probably in your favor.

It's still risky.....But if it's just a straight up G $ , and a tie pushes.....

Injuries ? Disclaimer for both of you that protects both of you. Each of you agree to name 4 Big Time players on each team and that if any one of them get hurt for more than 6 weeks or out for the season then the bet is off.

Barring key injuries KC should finish with a better record than Oakland.
The odds are in your favor on just straight up best record, But dont assume this is a 13 win KC team and a 5 win Oakland team. Oakland probably will be over .500, but just barely. KC should win 11-12 games.

You should make it 50 k and take the Chiefs of course.

Have it drawn up as a service contract-since bets are not legal and cannot be collected legally if this Faider fan does not pay. Since he is a Faider fan- there is a high probability he will not pay-so you need to have a plan in place to make sure you get your money.

Set up the winning money amortized over 5 years with interest if payment is made after the first of the month.

If he fails to pay-get a judgement against him, put a lien against his house, lien against all of his assets, and start cutting off the hands of his family members-one per month until balance is paid in full.
