I'd like to see the stats on all draftees. What percentage total are from the SEC (for a point of reference)... I'm not willing to compile it myself, waaaay too lazy today.

SEC is always highest with about 20% of selections from that conference. Dorsey is a bit on the high side at 34%. His next highest is the PAC-12 with nearly 16% of his picks (5) going to that conference. He's all over the map though overall.
Here's the 11 SEC selections... 3. Knile Davis - RB - Arkansas (SEC) 4. Nico Johnson - LB - Alabama (SEC) 5. Sanders Commings - CB - Georgia (SEC) 1. Dee Ford - DE - Auburn (SEC) 5. Aaron Murray - QB - Georgia (SEC) 6. Zach Fulton - OG - Tennessee (SEC) 2. Mitch Morse - OG - Missouri (SEC) 3. Chris Conley - WR - Georgia (SEC) 4. Ramik Wilson - ILB - Georgia (SEC) 2. Chris Jones - DT - Mississippi State (SEC) 4. Demarcus Robinson - WR - Florida (SEC) |

SEC does produce the most pro talent so there's that.

The SEC dominates high school recruiting. I crunched the numbers a few years back and found the SEC, ...for a few years straight...landed 40-45% of the Top 100 recruits.
I don't know if there's been a shift recently but doubt it's been significant. Naturally that sort of dominance in recruiting leads to many of those same players being coveted in the draft as well |

Ford would have to be at least okay as well, with Stud as a possibility. He was leading the league in sacks for a while last year ya know. He fell off when Houston returned, but I think that his arrow is definitely pointing up.

Ford got a sack taken off the board vs Denver bc of a stupid penalty in the secondary. He was also the only player on the team to get a sack in the playoff game.
He's established himself to be a good player IMO.
