Am I crazy to take Manning 1st overall?

I have the first overall pick in my 12 team ppr league this Friday. All TDs are worth 6pts. The weird thing about my league is that we only have to start 1 RB.

This means I'd most likely end up with a RB like Ball, Bell or Foster at the end of the 2nd round.

I'm leaning towards doing it. Agree/disagree?

I drafted 2nd a league last night and got Brees at the end of the 2nd round.

If I were you, I'd take the running back because I think you will be surprised who will be there when you pick in the 2nd round.

The way your league is set up, everyone will take a RB in the 1st or second round.

The worst thing that could happen if you go RB in the first is that the top 3 QBs are gone.

No big deal, then load up at WR in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

You should be able to get a QB like Matt Ryan or Dalton later. Both those guys have lots of upside because they throw the ball a lot. I'd target one of them in the 4th, 5th, or 6th rounds.

I took McCoy in the first and ended up with Cutler and RG3 as my QBs.

I realize it's week 1...

but Manning is going to throw 60 TDs and he's a lock for 25-40 points every week in standard scoring leagues.

Whereas the top 3 picks (Jamaal, AP, McCoy) will have shit weeks like they did this week...while 15th round RB's (Knowshon Moreno) will light it up.

I'll never spend a 1st round pick on a RB. Ever. Not anymore.

Peyton Manning should have been the #1 pick this year in every league no matter the scoring.

Trust me. Have you guys watched the preseason? With these illegal contact penalties multiplying by the dozens Manning is going to throw 60 TDs this year.

Please, please, please, please, please LISTEN to me for once...

Draft QB's and WR's...

STAY AWAY FROM RB's

My RB's are going to be guys like Joique Bell, Andre Ellington, Lamar Miller, etc...

PLEASE TRUST ME ONE TIME

THIS IS THE YEAR YOU DON'T TAKE RB'S EARLY

TAKE RECEIVERS AND MAKE SURE IF YOU CAN...GET PEYTON MANNING

Manning is the #1 pick in every 6 point league...and there's a really good ****ing debate for taking him in a 4 point 1 QB traditional league, too

After watching todays game I think I'll be alright with Cutler as my QB provided he can cut down on the INTs. Manning only outscored Cutler by 7 points in my league. I know McCoy didn't have a great game but I think I made the right choice out of the top three RBs. Also landing Bernard as my second RB didn't hurt.

Just to give a comparison the guy who took Manning at #2 has Bush as his starting RB and Gore as his Flex.
