That's not KU basketball, and it doesn't bode well for next year. Or maybe it does, because this may inspire Self to build a deeper roster.
We will have more depth next year than we did this year.

Tharpe, Adams, White return. Add Selden, Greene and Frankamp. That's a lot of highly touted guards.

Ellis, Traylor, Lucas return. Add Embiid. That's solid post presence.

Interior = 6'10, 6'8", 6'8" with adequate time with Hudy...
Athletic 7'0" in coming as a freshman?

I think KU will be just fine.

Watching the game again? This wasn't even a national championship game, or final four game for that matter!

So what happened? I left my friends when KU was up 14. I got home turned on the radio to Bob Davis screaming the game is over Michigan wins.

I saw a lot of FB post blaming Johnson. How many turnovers did he have the final 5 mins? I don't think you can blame onr guy for blowing a huge lead but then again I didn't see the last 5 mins + OT

There was a 0.62% chance of Michigan making that comeback according to KenPom's model. Only 14 other comebacks were less likely than this one.

Saw a hilarious .gif of the cockpunch with self in the background licking his lips. I think we need to add a Rio Adams soup gif to it.

Also, I might have to see the replay of the "drive and dish" by EJ in the end there, but I don't think he had an angle for a layup. The defender had position on him and when EJ jumped, he was almost behind the backboard.
I think you're right. It was tough to see it in real time but I think he went in at a difficult angle and panicked.

It's over. Poor kid has to live with that game the rest of his life. I wouldn't want my kid to have to deal with that kind of heartbreak, let alone the scorn or the masses. We all need to let it go. It's over.

Meanwhile, Kansas has the #2 recruiting class in the country. Maybe I was wrong... we don't have rebuilding years, we have reloading years.

This.

All of the people slamming the young kid are nobodies who have probably never even played competitive basketball.

Twitter is a horrible, horrible, horrible things for guys like EJ. I don't really mess with Twitter even though I think it's pretty cool.

I almost think EJ should tweet something like "gave it my all, wish I did better. Hope KU can forgive me someday."

a true pity tweet that may make the assholes start to feel bad for him rather than just pile on

I don't know, worth a try.
