No. There are degrees of wrongness. Manufacturing or distributing meth is wrong. Murder is worse.

You're being obtuse. Shooting Gale was Walt's idea. Jesse carried out Walt's plan. Jesse felt bad about it. Walt was fine with it. That is the difference.

There you go again with that obtuse thing. You know damn well what I'm talking about. He didn't literally say it, but his failure to condemn Todd for it showed that he was just fine with it.

This "Jesse = good/Walter = evil" shit is a false dichotomy.
And there you go again. You are as obtuse as the warden in The Shawshank Redemption.

You can refuse to acknowledge it all you want. Pardon me if I think cold-blooded murder is worse than any other crime.

You think that because somebody is flawed, they deserve to be murdered, and the murderer should get off scot-free. I disagree.

It was Gus' idea to kill Walt before Walt ever cooked a batch for Gus.

I understand but do not respect Walt's reasons for not just accepting the 5 mil cut and bailing out of the business. His bills were paid up.. he had a successful car wash now. The fact that he wanted to keep it going? That's about the time I was thoroughly done with backing him. I agree it should have been even sooner though.

This final season reminds me of The Shield. I knew going in that I was probably better off just skipping it, and leaving well enough alone. Same thing here. Not a fan of how all this is shaking out... but I will finish it... though I suspect I will regret having done so.

What, you didn't like they way Shane murdered his family and then committed suicide? You didn't like the way Vic Mackey totally betrayed Ronnie Gardocki in order to save himself?

I agree. I hated the finale of the The Shield. And I hate you for reminding me of it, because now I'm afraid of a similar letdown on Breaking Bad.

Damn you!

I agree.
Too difficult for me to pick just one in season 4. The only episode in the series that really bugged me was the Fly in Season 3. Maybe that was the point.

Best episode in television history for me? Hands down it is Sopranos Season 2 finale- Funhouse.

There isn't supposed to be a good/bad character in this show. Every character has it's flaws. They all also have parts of them that you can root for.

Not all of it was self preservation. That's the difference. It has largely been a power grab.
Why did Walt kill all the snitches? Why did he call a hit on that helpless methed up couple in season 1 or 2?

He does it without flinching. Just as he didn't care when the kid got shot or when Jesses girlfriend died. Just as when he watches Jesses girlfriend die and does nothing to stop it. Just curious, what has Walt done in the entire series that is redeemable? I think hank has it right that Walt has destroyed everyone's life, but the one guy he has actually done some good for is Jesse.

I agree with much of the latter portion here... but the underlined is simply untrue. There is legitimate anguish and remorse for what happened with the shot kid and Jesse's girlfriend.

He did give Jesse his money owed to him when he didn't have to... he clearly did love his children.. though was grotesquely selfish about staying in the business without deep consideration that it put them at risk.

Walt is what he is... self-preservation first.. and yeah, he gets over and beyond the bad stuff rather quickly. When his wife stopped loving him... wishing for him to die.. he did let Heisenburg take over too much... and his greed for power really became his undoing.
