Movies

Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

And yet, people go to Ben Stiller movies...

Sadness...

Shame...

The opposite of good, worthy, and/or intelligent.

It is beyond comprehension. Ben Stiller is very unfunny.

I disagree on Ben Stiller, I very much liked The Cable Guy, Zoolander and Meet The Parents. But Robert Dinero made that movie good. But I can't think of anything else by Stiller that I like. Oh and that jungle movie was pretty good, the one with Robert Downey Jr and Jack Black...cant remember the name right now

A good Stiller movie is one where he isn't the focal point.*

*See Dodge Ball.

Everybody missed it when it first came out - it was not widely released in the U.S.. At that time, Christian Bale was fairly unknown, the studio didn't think it would be profitable here. It made money in Europe, and has done very well on DVD over the years mainly due to word-of-mouth recommendations.

Funny how a great film like Equilibrium doesn't rate marketing yet some piece of shit like Land of the Lost gets marketed to death.

Neeson doesn't seem to get a lot of credit for it, but he can be a bad mother****er.

I would like to see a re-make of deliverence.

I would like the main 4 actors to be Russel Crowe, as the guide, the others Josh Brolin, Cillian Murphy and Clive Owen. Only this time they are more experinced outdoors men that go along a river only that they are going through a drug trafficking area unknowingly.

Or something like that.

That would be a great cast of actors.

Just hang out in Kansas or Oklahoma for a while; it'll come to pass.
