The tone of vocal passage at about 2:30 really creates the song, imo. You can completely hear the desperation to keep the madness at bay and the madness sort of lurking at the edge of the voice. It's ****ing masterful.

Tool is my favorite all time. Lateralus is arguably the best rock song ever recorded.

I saw The Cure in Seattle on their Wish tour and it was amazing. A highlight was that they played M, which is one of my top 5 favorite Cure songs. The problem now, though, is I haven't really liked anything they put out since Wish (about half of Wild Mood Swings was okay).
