I don't know how a person has that vision in their head and is able to get it on screen. Crazy..

I really enjoyed it.

I liked it, but it wasn't as good as the first. I did not like this version of Ultron at all - it was James Spader, not Ultron. The Hulk/Natasha romance was forced, and
Spoiler!

But. I really liked Scarlet Witch and Vision; the two of them (besides setting up their comic-book romance, if they want to go that way) provide a sort of counter-culture philosophical side that the ensemble needed. Speaking of which, I also loved the idea of making Hawkeye a family man all along; that was just what that character needed, and it elevated the whole team.

I've seen a lot of people say it had great moments but somehow didn't add up to a great movie. I think they're about right. We needed more to explain about Thor's muddled 'dream', more to show the relationship between the twins, and more to build from plot point to plot point, but it was already super long and super detailed.

The Marvel Universe seems to have a developing problem with sequels; most of the time they're not nearly as good as the first. The exception is Captain America, but he's establishing himself as an exception to a lot of lamentable superhero tendencies these days.

I am thinking the 3 hour version will be quite a bit better. I still loved it though. Not as good as the first but only by a tiny bit for me.

Yea, I thought Ultron himself was the weakest part of the movie. He was kind of a boring villain. But I prefer real actors over CGI. Gimme Loki anyway of the week over a CGI villian

I really liked Scarlett Witch. Hopefully they expand on her in future films.

Liked it, didn't love it...felt really rushed and trying to shoehorn too many things into one space.

Also I hope this trend of inserting witty one liners into these movies just for a crowd reaction stops...a few works but this had so many that after I while I just wanted to cringe.

Nolan's Bats movies have spoiled me....his interpretation of the genre and the "grounded" approach to superheroes and villains is exactly what I was looking for and I must say, I'm really excited and intrigued but what DC does. I think I'm one of the few that is really hyped for Batman v. Superman.

I the MCU movies will never be like this and I should just shut my brain off and enjoy which I do to an extent...the Marvel fatigue is setting in for me personally though. I am excited for Cap 3 though and the whole Civil War storyline...Avengers 2 laid the foundation and I was hoping they'd expand on it more, to me that was by far the most interesting part of the movie.

I think that ship has sailed for the MCU movies. We are well passed being grounded in any sort of reality now. But thats fine. I like that they are now over the top and fun.

I also like that DC is taking a different more serious approach to their universe. Completely different styles.

I thought it was entertaining. I'm not sure what more people want out of a popcorn movie. It's a Marvel comic book movie made for children.

Now Fast n Furious 7 was a horrible stupid movie w/ terrible acting, cheesy one-liners, and ridiculous stunts.

I think Winter Soldier might be the closest we get to a DC styled Marvel movie.

True and it's probably why I shouldn't compare that style nor expect it...I just know for me personally that's what I prefer and I do think Marvel could make really intriguing movies using that style so I just want to see it lol. I do like Marvel movies for what they are though...

I hope the Civil War storyline which I'm super intrigued by kinda explores that more and leans towards that style a bit more.

speaking of that, it felt like they sort of ignored things from the last few movies. I sort of hinted at it earlier. At the end of IM3. Stark destroys his tech. It finished a story arc. They never mentioned that here.

At the end of Cap 3, Fury went underground and SHIELD was destroyed. Then he just shows up in a multi-billion dollar heli-carrier to save the day? How did he get the tech and feel the need to go public again??

Admittedly, i havent watched Agents of Shield this season so i might have missed some plot points.

First I didn't think anything felt forced.
Spoiler!

The only area I felt was rushed was the Vision. I would have preferred to see more of what he can do/why he can do it before he just rushes off to do his thing.

I think the back story elements were perfect. Small one or two minute pieces of a few of the character's pasts. To me it was just a little teaser of what has happened without taking from the overall film.

I also felt the Hawkeye back story added to his character. I'll be honest - he's always bored me to tears. Seeing some of his personal life really fleshed the guy out and made me care about him. Seeing a touch of what made the Widow also helped to explain her character more and make us feel sympathetic.

When the big fight scene happens and all the pieces are in place I thought to myself "Now THIS looks like an Avengers movie." It really did look like a 7 page section of a comic.

And as far as the one liners that's pretty standard for these characters and Marvel team comix in general. That's part of it. To not have it would be strange.

The grounded approach works really well with characters like Batman and now Daredevil (which I highly recommend for any comix/action fan.) Once you introduce Supes and the other DC heavy hitters I doubt it feels so "grounded."

And honestly, I hope the MCU and DCCU do make their films differently. The genre needs diversity or its inevitable end will come before either company rolls out their prime products because we're all bored with it. DC shouldn't look like Marvel and vise versa.

Spoiler!
