Everyone loves to rail on Kietzman, but I'd love it if Pioli had the balls to go on his show. It would be entertaining.

Pioli isn't the one lacking balls, it's KK. He would pussy foot it, because he doesn't want to lose the post game show. 810 is locked in with the Chiefs. KK always talks big when the target is not on the air with him. He'd tone down the questions, then talk big and brash after the interview is over. He's not stupid, it's about the benjamins.

Have you listened to the last interview that Pioli did with Kietzman? KK didn't back down. And it's why Pioli has yet to be on his show since.

That was before he was 1-7. It's serious now. KK would go much easier on him now because he doesn't want to cost 810 the Chiefs sponsorship.

I disgaree with that. He organized a walk out for the Royals when 810 was the Royals station.

Whitlock sends it out to the nation...

5. Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli whined during a one-on-one interview with KC sports anchor and Hall of Fame QB Len Dawson that expectations in Kansas City were too high.

Yes, Chiefs fans were delusional for thinking that in Year 4 of Pioli’s rebuilding plan that the Chiefs would hold a lead in the first half of the season. Expectations were just too high!

Eight games in and the Chiefs have yet to lead a game in regulation play. They beat the Saints in overtime.

Pioli has hired two head coaches in KC -- Todd Haley and Romeo Crennel. Haley was in over his head trying to serve as head coach and offensive coordinator. This week, Crennel finally acknowledged he was in over his head trying to serve as head coach and defensive coordinator.

It will be interesting to see if owner Clark Hunt allows Pioli a third strike.

Several reporters said the Todd Haley behind the microphone at KC press events was completely different than the Todd Haley they would speak with off the record. I'm not sure Haley hated doing the media, but he certainly hated doing it the way Pioli wanted it done.

Any other team and he would already be fired. Come on Clark any day now. You don't have to wait untill the day after we get embarrassed yet again on nat TV next monday night.

Yes he does. Pioli needs to eat the shit that Todd Haley will be serving Monday.

I want Pioli looking like a giant jackass on national TV. I want Jon Gruden and Mike Tirico talking about the historically embarrassing cluster**** he's authored in Kansas City. I want his reputation smeared for ALL THE WORLD TO SEE.

**** YOU SCOTT. MONDAY IS YOUR PUBLIC FLOGGING.

If Pioli were anyone else ... or had a different pedigree, there's no doubt in my mind that Clark would have canned him by now.

I think one aspect of Clark's apparent hesitation has to do with the sheer head-shaking disbelief that Pioli could be this incompetent, Mr. KC Tattoo. I mean, who would have thought that the two-time (or is it three-time?) NFL Executive Of The Year is a madman, a buffoon, and a fraud?

I know there were a few Planeteers who had early doubts (see Mr. Dane McCloud‎), but it's probably fair to say that the vast majority of NFL observers considered Pioli to be the hottest GM commodity in the league. It's likely that Clark is torn between wanting to believe this is simply a string of incredibly bad fortune and the amazingly hard-to-swallow, stark reality that Pioli is a qualified nutcase.

I'm going to follow your logic on this Mr. FAX. Pioli showed him his rings and Clark and the rest of us mostly just wanted to believe we can achieve the same glory. That and we just came off the high of fireing Carl Peterson wich was a long time comming so any one who came here was going be given a do diligence to turn this team around for what we all want and that is Super Bowls. But first we got to get a lead in year four & our expectations were too high. I think it is bewilderment to say the least.

Kind of glad Whitlock posted this in his article just for this reason. Gruden and Tirico have to be aware of this shortly... if they don't already kknow it by this point.

In fact, those two need to have some of the Cassel/Pioli facts posted here forwarded to them before Monday just so they go into the game with all the pertinent information at their disposal. I don't know how to make that happen, but I am sure some here do.

It's like a form of cognitive dissonance ... you see plainly that Pioli has screwed the pooch without even purchasing the poor pooch dinner or taking the pooch to a movie. Nevertheless, the totality of our situation seems almost too horrendous to believe ... particularly considering that Pioli was so well respected around the league. When the brainpan is faced with two completely contradictory sets of evidence, it kinda shuts down. Maybe that's what's happened to Clark's brainpan?

Clark is probably thinking that he does not want to give up too quickly like the Owner did in Cleveland!
