Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started.

Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE:

If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point.

Has anyone had an MRI and could shed some light on the price out of pocket if my insurance doesn't cover it?

My last MRI was 1600 after insurance. If you can find one of the few Orthos that has their own MRI it is usually much cheaper.

Jesus christ. I went to a radiology place for the X-ray and I'll go to same place for MRI. Just free standing radiology place after a consult with my primary and she recommended it. Same day, no appointment. Said my MRI can be done the same way. My doctor will look at results and decide if I need a referral and go from there.

My last mri was my Achilles at a hospital. Was a closed MRI which does cost more.

Last time I had my shoulder imaged it was at the ortho office. Was a open MRI and only $600.
