Don't be cruel. Those shoes are well-made and will probably work very well with metal braces coming out of the soles.

Yeah, but they get all the grandma's in a rage.

Wearing the Mephisto's to work today and they have this little 1/4" wide, 1 1/4" long bump on the bottom of the shoe right in the middle where the heel is that is kind of uncomfortable/unsteady on a hard surface. On carpet they're comfortable as hell, but I bought them for walking outdoors and on uneven, cobblestone streets. They will be returned this weekend.

Going to try out the Ecco's tomorrow.

I got the Ecco's in both colors, so if they're comfortable tomorrow I'll keep both of them and return the Mephisto's.

Eccos are good cormfortable shoes. You probably won't find much better for the style you're after.

I'm about down to my final size so it's wardrobe time. I'm not made of money. I need ideas.

Full wardrobe as in casual wear and what not? Also what is your 'style' if you had to pick
