Eesh. I just realized how CRUCIAL that extra win against San Diego was for Cleveland. Look at their remaining schedule:

BAL @ CLE
‎CLE @ DAL
PIT @ CLE
CLE @ OAK
KC @ CLE
WAS @ CLE
‎CLE @ DEN
‎CLE @ PIT

Thankfully their win percentage kicks our asses and we have a game of breathing room. So pretty much as long as we lose to them, we have 3 games between us. We're safe. If we beat them, however, then we're down to only one game of space (since we own the tiebreaker). Cleveland probably isn't going to cut us any more favors by beating teams they shouldn't, which means we need to run the table on the rest of our losses.

I would really love an unprecedented Cleveland victory this Sunday. Just to ease any nervousness or fear that I might have.

completely irrelevant

Even if they don't draft a QB they can just trade down with somebody that does want a QB.

at least 3 out of 5 are on the road

Newton should scramble/run for 100 yrds

we can't handle TE/RB in coverage or a running QB worth a shit.

they'd be somewhat likely to trade it to a team that does want a QB though

Ordinarily I'd be relieved with that arrangement, but there are so many teams like Buffalo, the Jets, the Raiders, and even the Saints who are currently sucking dick and would be tempted to trade in front of us to grab the best QB. Yeah, it wouldn't be too pricey at all for KC to trade up to the #1 spot themselves just to assure that they get the top QB, but we all know how this organization operates. Sit back, play conservative, let the other teams make the bold moves, and then get caught with your pants down, where you tell the fans, "Gee, there just weren't any QBs available where we picked. Shucks. Oh well."

I know beggars can't be choosers, but ****. If we're going to do this losing thing, let's do it the right way and get the best QB in the draft. And let's conserve our picks, too. Go all out. Get the #1 pick by losing the most games. Then draft the **** out of this shit with our fancy new GM. And ****ing WIN!

Yep. Carolina is bad but they're built to beat us.

I feel like the Saints are going to use their pick on the best MLB available and give their defense a heart and soul for the next 10 years.

The Jets and Bills might do something, but I don't see a scenario when KC doesn't have a look at at least two legitimate QB prospects. Maybe not Geno Smith, but Barkley and Wilson will for sure be options.

We're currently firmly in the best position. It might be tough, but no other team has the advantages that we do right now.

We can pretty much call this thing ****ing over right now if Cleveland and Jacksonville both win just one more game. Even if they don't cooperate, our team is terrible enough that 1-15 isn't all that unlikely relatively speaking.

There is no option other than Geno.

I'm not going through the 1983 bullshit again and end up with Blackledge ver. 2.

Geno or bust!

I'm using my NFL Ticket to watch the Chiefs; but, also to watch and cheer on Carolina, JAX and Cleveland. I watched Cleveland beat SD last week and it was fun.

That's all well and good, but I don't ****ing want Barkley or Wilson. That's all this franchise has ever ****ing done is accept circumstances for what they are instead of demanding the superior option.

Sorry, we're all out of chocolate cake. Do you want apple strudel instead?

Sorry, we're all out of Matt Ryan. Would you like some Glenn Dorsey?

Sorry, we're all out of Matt Stafford. How about a nice 5-tech?

Oops, looks like RGIII isn't going to fall to us. That's okay. There's always Dontari Poe.

****. That.

No more. I'm sick of this shit. Geno Smith is the most talented QB in the draft. He's got this highest ceiling, and likely has the best shot at turning this ****ing shit show around and pointing them in the direction of a goddamn Super Bowl.
