Sounds a lot like me, bet I only send maybe 2-3 negs a year, its a positive thing for me, mostly.

Rep matters, in what way IS kinda hard to define, but atleast subconsciously it does... lets say a noob shows up and in short order is moving through "the ranks", that's a pretty good sign that their posts are worth looking at... I like repping noobs who say something with merit.

At the same time, there have ALWAYS been guys in the deep red who "get read" by everyone anyway, they usually don't have the most popular opinions, but they state it well enough to atleast garner attention and/or respect... some of the most enjoyable guys here are in the red, in many ways, imo, its a badge of honor if they say "**** your rep, i'm staying anyway!"
