I broke my rule. I watched the Super Bowl last night. I hadn't watched one in 12 years... I think? The last I watched was when the Rams beat the Titans. Was that 2000? Anyway I said then that I'm not watching this over-blown thing again until the Chiefs were playing in it... and I stayed true to my word until this year. There was a bet involved too.

I like the Ravens. My daughters name is Raven. I hate the 49ers. They had the Montana/Young years so they can suck it. I didn't watch the Ravens first Super Bowl win but this one I couldn't help. I really hate the 49ers. I wanted to see Baltimore beat the shit out of them... like I predicted... and they did for a half. Then everything got stupid. But at least the Ravens/Flacco won. I'm a fan. **** the 49ers.

Now go Chiefs.

Regardless of all the hoopla and hype around the game, you get to watch two elite football teams and some of the best players in the sport compete against each other. Same reason we watch the World Series, NBA Finals... the Olympics, etc, etc.

A. You don't care unless your team is in it.
B. You want to tell everyone how different and unique you are by not watching it.
