Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

I've had a Mini 14 since a few years after they first came out. Nice little rifle - not as accurate as AR's, but when I got mine you couldn't get AR's, but you COULD get surplus Korean .223 for nada, fun to shoot. Well made, tough. Not as good at targets as it's AR competition. I added an 'accu-strut' 'stabilizer' bar to the thinnish barrel which cuts back on vibration and cuts the target grouping from bulk ammo by an inch or two. Worth the grief IMHO.

I ordered a police trade-in Glock G23 Gen 3 from dansammo.com, and picked it up earlier today.

It came with night sights and 3 mags. It appears to be in excellent mechanical condition. But it does show some holster wear, as expected from a police trade-in. I'll have to test it out next weekend.

Pics to come tomorrow.

I've had the Mini 14 and if I had to do it all again... I'd go Mini 30.

Yes. Its a very good deal. It used to be $999.

I've ordered from AIM several times. They're one of my favorite online vendors.

Which one?

http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/p...eFolding+Stock

Or

http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/p...ynthetic+Stock

I've played with the folding one a few weeks ago. I liked it, not sure why I would need all the rails though.

The synthetic one looks cool as well. I'm probably only going to add a scope to it and make it more accurate.

Tactical just because. You can add a light, a bayonet, a laser, a home made rocket launcher, another bayonet, and a utility shovel.
Apocalypse prepared.

The shovel and maybe a fork or spoon would be ideal.
