What Do You Keep On Your SSD?

Now that I've figured out how to initialize my HD and designate downloads to go to a specific drive I'm trying to figure out what to keep on my sons' SSD (240 GB) vs. what to keep on HD (1 TB). They use their rigs primarily to game.

Obviously OS is on SSD.

So, gamers or non-gamers, what do you keep on your SSD?

SSD - Windows and miscellaneous apps

Raid 0 - Games, movies, any other large apps

Anyone have one of the M2 SSDs? I was contemplating getting one. I just don't want to **** up my entire setup by doing it. I know if you install one it takes away one or two of your drive connections. If it does that and one happens to be my Raid drive it will **** that all up.
I'm just starting to learn about Raid. By the time I figure it out and need it SSD memory price will probably drop enough that I can grab a couple 1TB SSD drives and be done with it!

I have like 6TB though so that is why I went with the Raid 0 HDD. If you need less space the SSD is a fine way to go. Eventually even the 6TB will be cheap enough in an SSD. You can Raid your SSD as well and make it even faster .

Looks like a limitation of the specific MB.

Either way, make sure your MB supports PCIe M2 and get NVMe which is faster than SATA M2.

EDIT: Intro to NVMe...

2 SSDs in Raid0 is a legit screamer setup. You get mindblowing transfer rates, faster than a single SSD. It shortens the life of the SSDs much faster. But it's just money.....

I was just looking that up and the 1TB option is over $500. Eeeek!

Yeah I was watching a build on Paul's Hardware and he used a 1TB Toshiba SSD that was $700. Cost more than the 1080 GPU.
I'll wait.

But massively worth it...

http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Compare.../m211052vs3576

Edit:

Pricing at my local...
$360 - Samsung 1TB 850 EVO SATA 2.5"
$360 - Samsung 1TB 850 EVO SATA M2
$470 - Samsung 1TB 960 EVO NVMe M2

1 NVMe is cheaper than 2 SATA in RAID 0. Also faster. In theory anyway.

Well I just spent about $1200 on my rig and another $1200 in monitors. If I buy anything else right now my wife is going to kill me. I will have to hold off for a little bit.
