MADDEN 15

This is going to be out within a month.. I have not seen many videos nor gameplay footage of the new madden. Only a few clips here and there, and I wasn't blown away, it looked to be the same as Madden 25.

I'll most likely still get it, whats everyone's thoughts on the game and what would you like to see EA do?

The last madden I really liked was 12, it went downhill from there. 13 was lackluster, 25 was decent on PS3(only got it for the NCAA rosters for franchise) and 25 on PS4 is alright, though nowhere close to the presentation of 2K5 which is really sad.

I hope this is a good year for Madden gameplay/presentation wise but I doubt it.

I don't know how you guys can play a madden franchise and actually play the draft..I understand on PS3 days with the NCAA import but it's just really lame to be picking these random EA created players with weird names. I just trade away my draft picks or cut/trade the fake players, it just seems so unauthentic and fake. I want the most realistic experience possible.

Then what would be the point of Franchise mode?

Mine will freeze once in awhile. Actually, once or twice just about every game. But it's only for 2-3 seconds and then it goes back to normal. It does not do that during plays, though. Only after plays when it's loading the playcalling screen. I'm on 360, btw.

It's my understanding that you either didn't load the custom roster before you started your franchise, OR that the player in question is rated higher in a system that is designed around his skill set. In this game, Jamal Charles would be rated 99 on some teams and like 88 on others who rely on a power running game. (I'm just pulling those numbers out of my ass, but that's the idea).

I just got the game a few days ago, and have yet to do much more than skills trainer and then get my ass handed to me on AllPro mode in the preseason first game. I just can't stop throwing interceptions. Like a crack addict, I don't even know what's happening. All the sudden I'm in my car driving to my dealers house... Pulling into the driveway and knocking on the door. I don't have any money, so I have to debase myself, but I need my CRACK! Except in my case it isn't crack. It's throwing the ball to defenders who have perfect coverage, and my dumb ass thinks "oh I can throw that in there."

I think I was just too used to throwing easy out routes on previous versions, where if your guy had even a slight step going left to right or right to left, you could bullet the ball in, and pick up an easy few yards. Now, defenders just slide in front of your guy and take it back to the house, just like in real life. But man, it's my crack. I see Hemmingway running left to right, right at the sticks and I can't help it... I have to jam that button down and ****! ANOTHER PICK! WHEN WILL I LEARN!?

I played a game against my roommate last night and made him quit. I think Sean Smith had a pick, DJ had one, Ron Parker too, and Berry made the game-ending INT in the endzone.

Any ball that travelled more than 15 yards in the air either got INT'd or broken up.

I loved franchise mode. The whole point is I get to draft the type of team I've always wanted KC to have. Two stud CB's, Two stud Pass rushers, 3-4 Defense.

On offense I want a Phat back (235+) with solid speed and I'm willing to sacrifice speed at WR for hands.

I want to trade Alex Smith day 1 and draft my own rookie QB...

BTW, I think 2010 or 2011 was the last Madden I've owned/played.

What are the biggest learning curves if I jump in to 15?...

When I pick a run play sometimes my QB keep it and doesn't hand it off to my RB think that is a glitch.

Man coverage gets you toasted. I played predominantly man coverages with blitzes from sega genesis up to Madden 13. I switch over to 15, and my defenders are constantly getting burned if I go man to man.

Moving to zone coverages, I rack up a completely stupid amount of sacks on all pro difficulty. Going to need to find some custom sliders to get this shit situated, because right now my Chiefs are all QB killing sack machines and its so unrealistic that its really ridiculous.

In the first season I played these were the sack totals.

Houston: 35
Hali: 21
Poe: 17
Bailey:12
Howard: 9
Johnson: 7
Mays: 10
Berry: 3
Gaines: 5

There were a few guys in there with one here and there. I play up front on the line as Dontari Poe, Bullrush the middle and push the C/G back into the QB's face. The CPU does the rest with some other players. I rarely rushed with Hali or Houston and they simply destroyed the QB when he would try to escape the pocket I was collapsing.

Its fun for the first few games, but God damn. I went from getting hardly any sacks, and a bajillion interceptions in Madden 13, to getting hardly any interceptions but destroying QB's so often that they would rarely break 200 yards of offense due to the sack yardage piling up.

Here's a question that's probably been answered already, but I'm still freshly back to Playstation and Madden.

Is there really no way to play with old school players and teams other than going through this Ultimate Team nonsense?
