Somebody's gotta have the inside scoop on Google Fiber launching tomorrow..??

https://fiber.google.com/savethedate/

Live broadcast over YouTube tomorrow. Anybody have any early news on this? Will it be available all over the Metro? How long will the waiting list be?

Anybody know anything? I'm impatient.

Serious question:

Given the many times Google's been caught violating the privacy laws (a/k/a being evil) and the like, how do you ignore that and sign up with them anyway?

Every company does it. Google gets picked on more for their size and money.

That's actually a realistic rate if they are testing to any public speed test site.

Did you select the super private internet provider?

Are you also only visiting websites with super awesome privacy?

Google dug a lot in my yard and tore a chunk of driveway out which they are going to replace the whole section.

And to boot I have a maple that's been dropped all of its leaves in just a few days I think they struck a root.

I would gladly sacrifice a chuck of my driveway, and the root of the only tree in my yard for Google Fiber to get it's ass to Raymore.

Google is an earth-hating company.... Well at least until they get to my house, then it's all OK...

They did the same to my neighbor's driveway. They patched it with asphalt and came back later and replaced a big chunk of her driveway.

Google's customer service has been great since I got Fiber about 6 months ago. Thunderstorm knocked out service over Labor Day weekend. I called on Labor Day to get it fixed and they had an appointment for me the next day at 2:30 pm. Guy showed up 10 minutes early and fixed it within a few minutes.
