SceneItAll Tournament: Round 1, Heat 122

How about a bonus heat just for fun? My wife is out of town so I'm just hanging out.

The rules:

In Round 1, I'm going to put up three randomly selected scenes from the nomination thread.

You'll vote for your ONE favorite scene among the three. The key here is FAVORITE. We're not talking about the 'best' or 'most powerful' or 'most meaningful'. We're talking about the scene that you most enjoy watching, however you define that.

The winners will move on. I'll also take the 10 highest-scoring second-place scenes and they'll advance as wild cards.

Some of our nominations did not include clips. This will be noted. If you find a clip, please post it and let me know so I can update it if it moves on.

My votes:

#1 - Big. This is the scene that started it all. I was watching this movie one Saturday and thought, "I wonder what the best movie scene ever is.". I like this scene. It's got charm and whimsy, and it makes me smile.

#2 - The Dark Knight. It seems to be well done, and I like that Joker guy. He's entertaining.

#3 - Die Hard. I need more than one line to vote for a scene.

I voted for Big.

It's charming and the ending has the classic "I like the cut of your jib" feel that's necessary in any story that requires an unlikely, or unwanted, rise to prominence.

Have not watch Dark Knight but am sure it's good.

Not sure who to vote for I like Die Hard but Bruce Willis can "Die" in aids fire by now I don't care about the rest of his movies redundant roles.

YEap not voting for Die hard just because of Armageddon and I know that movie has nothing to do with the Die Hard scene but **** Armageddon and Bruce Willis I don't care if he did save the planet from an asteroid and certain death. We all have to pay taxes.

Might be the first time I've ever completely agreed with your order. The Die Hard clip was definitely too short. Great line, weak clip.

I was all set to vote for the Joker scene in a close decision between it and Big. But the Big scene is simply perfect in every way. You can't watch it without smiling. Dark Knight was very, very good, but did have some over-acting by the tough guy who was threatening the Joker.

Also need to mention Dark Knight is my favorite movie of all time. So almost had to vote for it on general principle, but did not.

Nyet, comrade. There's only the "Batman interrogates Joker" scene and this one.

The hospital explosion scene should have been nominated. How sad.

I'm surprised but pleased at the strong performance of Big so far. I hope it can hold the lead.
