So do you guts want to keep the OP to official stuff or not. Doesn't matter to me.

Apparently Fletcher Cox is close to an extension with the Eagles. If we're going to get a deal done with Howard we need to beat them to the punch.. Cox is going to get PAID

That actually might benefit us like the Ertz deal did for Kelce just in reverse

Cox being better than Howard versus Kelce being better than Ertz.

Cox sets the market than the Chiefs can say to Howard youre not better than Fletcher Cox so how about this _____ insert figure.

NFL Network's Rand Getlin reports there has been "no significant progress" in contract talks between the Chiefs and impending free agent S Eric Berry.

Berry is fully expected to remain in Kansas City, but the lack of progress could force the Chiefs to use the franchise tag to keep him off the open market. Kansas City has several other priority free agents including CB Sean Smith and NT Jaye Howard, and using the tag on Berry could severely limit their flexibility in those situations and free agency. The safety tag is expected to cost $10.6 million.

No progress on Berry. That means he wants to be he highest paid safety at this point. He will bring it down a little and Dorsey will get him.

He absolutely deserves to be paid tops for his position.

He's a 3 time all pro safety about to enter his prime.

Mike Daniels already set the market for guys with similar production as Jaye.

So, you're saying he's the best safety in the league and this team needs to spend whatever to keep him?

I believe Dane will comment in.....3.....2.....1.....(and I agree with him)....
