Larger moral or cultural issues like this aside...Costas has become a grandstanding BITCH. I used to really like him. He believes too much of what was written about him in his early career when he was a great sports guy. Now he's just another guy with an opinion and a microphone.

I'd think the advertisers would be a little ticked off too. After all they paid big bucks to advertise and then the network lets Costas pull that negative BS.

Thankfully everyone got a grip and the Tomahawk Chop returned.

Taken as a whole Costas' comments were reasonable. I don't have a problem with what he said, but I already tire of him using SNF as a national stage. I have a feeling that NBC is doing it to purposefully create hype. He's NBC's version of Howard Cosell.
