If Ava hadn't called him, is there any way Duffy would have known about the duffel bags full of cash? He was handcuffed and then detained while all hell was breaking loose in the hollers.

For once I loved the finale, it put everything to rest. I will miss this show, one of the things I looked forward to every week it was on. "In the deep dark hills of eastern Kentucky.........."

You couldn't ask for a better ending. Happy Boyd lived, the last line was fantastic and you feel the ending is right. Couldn't have asked for anything better!

avclub had a great piece on why there probably won't be either

It wasn't great because of things that make other series great. It was great because of Elmore Leonard's singular ear for dialog and his sense of place and history. It didn't break new ground where a set of copycats are going to come along and try to replicate it. It was simply smart and obsessed over.

Wow, maybe my favorite Boyd moment.

Him channeling The Apostle was pretty fun a few moments earlier all things considered.

And in case you missed it, Raylan's new hat, the one he 'tried and it fit,' was Boone's, . . . the only thing he liked about him.

Another subtle touch, Art got a call from Seattle office when Raylan was leaving. Then Rachel's name is on the dispatch from Seattle telling Raylan about Ava's pumpkin picture.

I thought it was a fantastic finale. It wasn't a completely "happy" ending, and nothing cheesy like (everyone dies) or (Ava and Boyd planned EVERYTHING).

The only open thing that bugged me was that I wanted to see Vasquez get what he deserved.

The dialog and setting were the initial hooks for me. The characters developed nicely over time (much better by season 2).

I missed the show for years and then watched all five seasons in a couple of weeks prior to this one. Very good stuff.
