Artificial grass?

I'm thinking about putting some artificial grass in the back yard and would like to if there's anything I should know. Is it worth the money? Thanks in advance.

I would recommend not setting it on fire or having any material that could set fire to it

We're still in escrow. I have the walk through Tuesday and sign off on Friday.

Greg, Marsha, Peter, Jan, Bobby, and Cindy didn't mind artificial grass.

Sorry, don't know the first thing about it, but would definitely like to know how it turns out. What's going on in the front yard?

Artificial grass is pretty sweet IMO. Yes it can get hot but it's not horrible and you don't plan on laying your body down on it anyway mid-summer. Have pets? Let them dump all over it. Pick it up and then spray the artificial grass off. I think it looks nice too when done with a border and obviously is very smart in the drought states that we live in.

I'd be all for it if you want a grass area. We pulled all the real grass at our place and xeriscaped the yard with beautiful drought tolerance plants and filled the space in with red gravel. We didn't have a need for grass but if we did, it would have been artificial grass for sure.

Congrats on the house!

I highly recommend. We've had it for years and I can't imagine going back. Yard looks great and 0 upkeep, except the occasional rake

Since California is in a drought, Lennar is putting all bark in the front yard. There's a bunch of plants and a drip system installed. I don't mind the bark for now, less hassle. I want to get my back yard done first.

Not at all. Especially not with a plastic rake but I've used metal as well
