****Official 2019 NFL Draft Discussion****

Post any interesting thoughts - feel free to create a new thread that flows with the timing of the actual draft.

A few of my thoughts.

I'll say we get Byron Murphy first pick and then possibly manage to get Justice Hill later than expected due to last year's injury.

Players I wouldn't mind:

-- Ed Oliver (duh)
-- Nasir Adderley (again, 'duh')
-- M. Brown
-- AJ Brown
-- Hakeem Butler
-- Rock Ya Sin
-- Fant (doubt it)
-- Hockenson (don't see Brett drafting 1st round)
-- Deebo Samuel (not at 29 but should fall) (BIG FAN here!) value pick?
-- Justice Hill (absolutely should fall) (BIG FAN here!) value pick?

Let's talk about it!

He's a weirdo. I say that in the best possible way. I guess you have to be to be his size and play the way he does.

Right now I can’t really say what would piss me off. The players I REALLY want will all be taken, and given the lack of talent definition between late 1st and mid/late 2nd this year, I don’t foresee many outcomes that can work me up.

Most of them will have me going, “Meh. Okay.”

Ferrell is my dream, but I’m well aware that probably won’t happen and while I like him a lot, I’m wary of the price it may cost to move up and grab him.

So... yeah. Excited for the draft, but at the end of Thursday night, I think I’ll be calm yet curious instead of elated or pissed off.

I think it’s very likely we take a TE, and by God do I hope it’s Sternberger.

Why would you want this on such a defensively depleted team? I don't even have disgust enough to sigh at this kind of shit anymore.

Because we would still be spending a 1st and a 2nd on the defense after signing Honey Badger, Hitchens and using our entire draft last year on defense.

We were an offsides/coin flip away from the Super Bowl with one of the worst defenses in playoff history. That doesn’t mean use everything on the defense and completely ignore the offense.

We’ve got extra resources right now. Ignoring one of the strengths of this class on offense is not how good teams function.

I think the LSU connection is probably why he's so interested in Greedy. I'd be surprised if they don't know each other a little.

With that said, he's a different dude for sure. But he seems like he's all in on being a Chief and wants to bring talent to KC.

They won't take a TE in the first, I guarantee you, MAYbe a WR but def. not a tightend. I will stream a poop session 'live' chock full of onomatopoeia's if they do.

If Hockenson fell to 29 the Chiefs would have to seriously consider it, same with a few others like Metcalf or A.J. Brown. Mahomes is amazing but you can't completely ignore the offense forever, spending 1 pick in the first four on a guy who could be an impact player on offense is fine, if that's the first pick so be it.

We've got 4 picks in the first three rounds. Using one on an offensive player is pretty likely I'd say. Whichever guy they like at the best value is fine by me.

Won’t happen, but if Hockenson falls to 29 you take him without a thought otherwise.
