Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

I didn't even bother checking ammo prices. I'll be sitting on a mountain of it this time next month.

I bought 3 extra 16 round mags for my XD9 for $38 a piece...last three in the store. They're actually the 16 round mags for the sub-compact version, but the one inch spacer at the bottom just slides off.

I bought a new safe.
Delivery was nearly 1/3 total cost, but it includes in-home (screw moving ~350lbs of steel up/down stairs!)

I'm also eyeballing several different safes.

I don't have any steps and am debating on if I can get something 350-400 lbs in my house using a dolly and a couple of the neighbors help.

Did they anchor the safe to the floor for you, HC_Chief?

Curious on what they used to drill and bolt to the floor.

I was looking for a safe this weekend myself. I have one, but it's a pile of garbage. If you want something that is hard to break into as well as a good fire safe, you will have to drop some serious coin. No way I get what I'm looking at in the house with a dolly.

Here is an outstanding article on the subject:

We hope you’ll return to create your personalized, unique credit card.

When I got through to the "head picture decision maker" we had a heated chat. I told him It was a picture of a couple of guns, not a shot of my nut sack or a hookers cooter. I told him they were running a rat soup, Micky Mouse, fly by night, chicken shit outfit and told him to listen........

At that point I ran the card through the shredder. I'm done with Capital one. I was approved with another airline point card within 10 minutes, **** them.

It has not been delivered yet. I don't think they will anchor it; no mention of that in the delivery.
