You have the depth of a penny. You don't care one iota about those kids, you threw them aside the second your next faux outrage was given to you by the media.

yeah, the guy got a half billion from his father through fraudulent activity and could have made more by just investing it than what he did on his own. He also filed for bankruptcy numerous times and didn't pay his bills to his middle class workers. Great guy to trust. He's made money fleecing the middle class, his policies are putting the middle class in debt. Yay Trump!

I saw a thing about the DOW never getting too high above 26,000. The number 26 has something to do with it. So next time you see the DOW hit 26,000 it's time for it to PLUNGE downward. It's something to do with the alphabet and numbers. Gematria type stuff. 26 letters in the alphabet

That's when they hire and invest in the future. Good job with the deregulation and tax cuts. This is just a small hiccup, we haven't see the big crash yet. Republican financial policy = shitshow.
Why on Earth would those people be in the stock market to begin with? I'm not a real savvy stock market/investments kinda guy, but isn't that like rule number 1 or something? When you near retirement, GET OUT OF THE RISKY SHIT?

Generally but we heard plenty of stories of people who lost their retirements in 2008. I don't know how many times I heard the joke of someone's 401k becoming their 201k. I'd guess if you aren't where you thought you'd need to be to retire that you are willing to risk a bit more to try to get there.

And what about the guy nearing retirement that is going to do that? Like say the people who had planned on getting into safer markets around 2008-2010 and then retire a few years after that?

I worked with a guy in 2008 who lost more than half in a matter of days. He was 2 months away from his planned retirement. He had to keep working. Greed got to him, too.

That's a good point. I really don't have an answer for that.

It's a tough world out there. Not everybody is going to be okay.

Manipulating interest rates to balance between the stimulus of lending and the hedge against inflation is a tricky act more art than science.

You don't need to have an answer for it. If they left their money where it was, they had most of it back by 2010ish. It is the fools who panic and sell at the bottom who lose out.

Loons don't want to admit that the POTUS has little effect on the market, but want to blame the GOP for dips or praise the Dems for rises.

Current sell off/correction is because the Fed has been fairly unclear about their monetary policy and bond rates and have said conflicting things about where they are going with it.

After the sell off finishes, we'll see if the Fed makes them all feel better, or if they decide to inflict more pain.
