You want to ask if the Kavanaugh nomination, a ridiculously moderate judge who agreed with Marrick Garland on 90% of their rulings, is going to risk a MORE partisan Judge than Sonia Sotomayor??!!

I mean I guess "Associate Justice Barack Obama" might be slightly more partisan than Sotomayor but....probably not. I just don't see how one can be more partisan than the person they put up there last time they had a shot at it.
I honestly believe he wont be so moderate going forward, at least on some issues

He just got a first hand look at where the modern left is, and its doubtful soon forgotten... they tried to crucify him, and the mans gonna be a bastard about it IMO

The hard left crowd just gained a very powerful enemy, hopefully

Kavanaugh nomination was a show of strength by conservatives that they'll no longer bow to the caterwauling of libtards. The left decided it was within bounds to ruin a man's life, family, and career because they simply didn't like him and throw a woman's life under the bus in the process.

That's not only low it's downright evil and scary. The left have shown they have no low and will use any means at their disposal consequences or morality be dammed.

It was a symbolic victory in many senses and I would have preferred a judge with more of an established background on enforcing the countries immigration laws. Kavanaugh is virtually a blank slate in this arena.

Depends on how well she takes care of herself. She's reached 64 already which is supposed to be pretty good for a diabetic as I understand. Some live past 70. She has 6 years til she reaches that before we see her leave. There's more technology and advances. So there's no guarantee, she is gone under Trump.

I won't be unhappy if she does leave under Trump due to poor health.

Not mocking at all. Just acknowledging it with an exclamation. Guess that could be considered thankful as well.

Kagan is concerned that the “middle position” — also known as the unpredictable vote – is now gone and Kennedy could be replaced with someone (Judge Brett Kavanaugh) whose views fall more on the conservative spectrum.

Kagan explained that Kennedy and Sandra Day O’Connor did something important for the Court: they made it look “impartial and neutral and fair.”

“Part of the Court’s strength and part of the Court’s legitimacy depends on people not seeing the Court in the way that people see the other governing structures of this country now,” Kagan explained. “In other words, people thinking of the Court as not politically divided in the same ways. It’s not an extension of politics, but instead somehow above the fray.”

Maybe Kagan should take up that role.
