Yea. I was hanging out in Tempe (ASU) this evening meeting an old Oak Park friend. I was surrounded by menials. It was just a huge collection of assholes. Rude, cocky, inconsiderate, entitled assholes. And that was just towards me and I'm chill af. The general vibe was the same. I was really put off.

Changed my life. I've had a general belief that I've made mine and I'll be dead within 20 years. So the world belongs to them now.

I'm rethinking that.

It doesn't matter the you (or I) don't care about what Kanye thinks. THAT is what doesn't matter. What DOES matter are the people who ARE influenced by Kanye. Prior to this week, those people would have largely been considered left leaning moderates - most of which don't vote.

But whether they vote or not almost doesn't matter, because Kanye can influence the discussion happening in broader culture. Kanye can create news cycles. Kanye can change minds, especially in youth and black community.

Waving this off is fine, but it doesn't minimize the relevance of this black swan event. Nobody could have guessed that Kanye would be slinging for conservative ideas during the 2018 mid-term run ups. His new album launches in June.

He is literally exemplifying textbook symptoms of Bipolar I:

*Decreased need for sleep
*Grandiosity, elevated self-esteem
*Pressured speech
*Flight of ideas or racing thoughts

His rationale behind the creation of the 13th amendment is in no way a cry for help:

"You gotta remove all that trap door out of the relationship. The four gentleman that wrote the 13th Amendment ó and I think the way the universe works itís perfect, we donít have 13 floors, do we? The four gentlemen that wrote the 13th Amendment, they didnít look like the people they were amending. Also at that point it was illegal for blacks to read, or African-Americans to read, so that meant if you actually read the amendment youíd get locked up and turned into a slave. So what I think is we donít need sentences, we need pardons, we need to talk to people."

The dude's politics are irrelevant. He's mentally ill and needs treatment.
Did they explain to you why you randomly walk into walls?

This whole optic underscores a very real weakness that the Democrat party has and there is no good way to deal with it.

The party is not a unified cross section of social and economic groups with any commonality in goals or desires. Instead, as the party has devolved, it has become a set of social/economic/ethnic silos being grouped together under an umbrella.

Broadly the silos seem to be in this sort of a vein:

Black/White/Hispanic: Issue driven by seeing the R/white man as oppressors

Women/Feminist : Issue driven by highly emotional attacks upon white/male/rightside women, Womens rights to choose/abortions/now the right to accuse anyone of rape or things.

Poor/uberwealthy/city dwelling lazy critters: The right is the bastion of the rich overlords and they wont give us their money so we must band together to take it.

Thats way generalized but the takeaway is each silo has no point of merit that brings them together. Thus when a popular colored rich male dons a MAGA hat and has a lunch with the president it sends a shockwave signal to the black silo managers.

As they drift deeper into a obsessed culture of hate and vitriol, the moderates will flee in droves and the voter turn out on the left will fall. For the most part they are lazy voters anyway and seek reasons to just say **** it, it wont matter why bother.

His politics are very relevant. But very dangerous to the central powers of the dem party and the thought control efforts of the Black Congressional Caucus. The only reason its called irrelevant is it challenges the staus quo of the Dem Leftist position.

And if you happen to voice an opinion counter to those approved by the democrat party HQ, be prepared to be accused of being mentally ill and pushed aside rather than engage in honest discussion on the merits of a mans statements.

This is why we don't get medical help on the internet.

We don't get on a facebook group and ask what drugs I need for my self diagnosed whatever, or ask a stranger if taking medicine prescribed by a doc is ok or should you burn herbs and sit in a sweat lodge.

If you are mentally unstable don't go into WalMart and ask the nice Pharmacist what to do cause you think u have a screw loose. Seek real expertise and get real help.

Beware advise handed out by guys in white lab coats organizing tampons on aisle 4
