Ian Rapoport has some kind of Chiefs news

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet

Speaking of the #Chiefs… if you're interested in some news, I'd watch Total Access on @nflnetwork in 8 minutes. I'll have some.

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet

As I said on Total Access: #Chiefs are actively pursuing a long-term deal with WR Dwayne Bowe. They've met with his reps, want to keep him.

And yeah, I know some don't agree with us, but I really would like to get a stud next to DJ and I would love to take Kevin Minter in the second. I know we need a CB, but for some reason I think that could be a fa target.
Not necessarily. They could make a move for a veteran, swap with Philly for Foles, etc. and so on.

There are MANY possibilities. There are eleven weeks before the draft and nothing can be ruled out at this point.

At that point, Foles would be about the only one that would make sense. Sources are saying there isn't much interest in Alex Smith so he's likely out, other than him, I'm not sure who they'd bring in.

There are possibilities, but i'm not sure there woudl be many at that point.

And I dunno if I'd swap firsts for Foles, when he could very well be released or had for a 4 or 5 rounder.

Really? They run a hybrid defense and he was the teams leading tackler according to Bills fans up here. All ofthem are upset about that cut.

It all depends on what the Chiefs think of the top QB's in the draft, Foles, and available talent at #4.

Foles and Milliner versus Smith, Barkley or Wilson.

he used to be exactly like Derrick Johnson

(runs away from gaps, runs around blockers, out of position) and was all about his pass coverage/speed.

hes lost his pass coverage skills and is good for padding his stats 5 to 7 yards after the RB is through the hole

That's dumb.

Either you pick a QB and start him from Day One or you trade for Foles and start him from Day One.

He'd be fine for a year until we could get Skov next year. Potentially, he could play at an adequate level for 2-3 IMO.

Yeah but like I said, I don't think it would take anything close to swapping firsts to get Foles. They don't have much leverage at this point.

if they trade for Foles they are drafting a QB anywhere between the 2nd and 4th to compete with him

they wont just give him the car keys, yea right lol. They maybe stupid, but not that stupid. They will draft and develop a QB every year, its just a matter of what round.

I think Minter would be an ideal fit to play next to DJ in the 34. Skov is great, but thats next year.

Was it dumb when the Packers and Giants sat Eli and Rodgers?
