Is Patrick Mahomes attempting those throws while he's in the pocket with no pressure on him?

Because Curry is attempting those shots like 5 seconds into the shot clock. It's completely ****ing unnecessary what he does. And yes, I understand the argument of getting good at and attempting a lot of 3 point shots, but if you're not even going to TRY taking those extra 19 seconds to find a better position or vantage point to chuck your 3s, then yes, it's shitty basketball to watch. It's ****ing slop.

You could make the argument that the 3 point shot is one of the worst things to happen in basketball.

He takes maybe 2 or 3 of those shots per game. It softens the defense by making opponents come out to him and gives his teammates spacing that they otherwise wouldn't have. That's good strategy in my opinion. It would be one thing if he was missing them, but as long as he's making them, why should anyone care if they come in the first 5 seconds of the shot clock or the last 5? They're pretty entertaining if you ask me.
