Well I doubt he was there emotionally for all his kids but he provided for every single one of them financially. And in today's day and age, that's saying something.

Can't believe it has been 15 years.

The first few months of 2000 were absolutely horrible for this franchise… first losing the final game of the '99-'00 regular season to the Raiders at Arrowhead with the opportunity to win the AFC West and then a few weeks later DT's accident and then death.

We had just gotten back from visiting relatives in Seattle and the drive home from the airport took 2 hours instead of the normal 45 minutes. Even with a 4-wheel drive the roads were very bad. When we heard that he had been speeding in that crap, it was a true WTF moment.

A great loss not only to the Chiefs, but for the entire community.
