Cracked screen on a 51" Samsung Plasma
Kids playin, throwin **** and hit the TV. Cracked the screen near the left edge of the TV. It won't turn on. Tried to but there's a quick flash where the crack is and then it turns off.

Anybody ever have a screen repaired/replaced? how much did it run you? Advice?

Since it's a plasma, the gas has probably gone.

The fix is more expensive than a new set.

Yeah somebody else told me the same. Was really attached to this set. Love the look...the darks on Plasma vs LED, Ultra HD, etc. I don't think they even make Plasma's anymore. Guess Im old school but I want a movie to look like a movie and not like Im on set with the crew lol

Yup. Cracked screen = new TV. Lost a nice Sony within a week once due to this. Shoulda grabbed that extended warranty in that case.

My little one did this exact thing last month. Trust me, you're ****ed. It was plasma Samsung as well.
One crack is all it takes man. The repair shop literally told me to just buy a new one.
