What a colossal load of shit that is. These pro prospects are already basically forced into a system that completely exploits them and you want them to participate in multiple years of it while risking millions of dollars at the same time? For what? So you can bitch and moan for hours on end about them supposedly not caring if they have a bad game at the wrong time? Hilarious. These kids have their livelihoods to worry about like everyone else in the world. They don't owe anything to you.

Wiggins was plenty mature enough to contribute when it mattered. He did all season long as this team's best player (at least when Embiid wasn't on the floor), including on Friday. He came up huge in hostile road environments when practically everyone else was shitting their pants due to the pressure of it. That doesn't mean he's not capable of a bad game, though, nor does it mean he doesn't care today or didn't give an effort. You're completely out of touch if you think otherwise.

And though I stick with Self, I also put that failed 1'n'done gambit on him, not Wiggins. He picked a shitty approach for how he coaches. Learn, and move forward.
There's nothing wrong with recruiting "one and dones." It won a NCAA title two years ago for Kentucky. It helped KU have another good season and conference title this year after losing all of their starters from last year. And it's likely going to help plenty more teams next year including KU with Cliff.

Without one and dones we may have struggled to even make the tourney this year. Had a KSU type season were we win at home and lose everywhere else. Having a roster totally turn over made the gamble no-lose really.

We sucked last month mostly because our few holdovers didn't really progress into good players.

I think we have a front-runner for spoiled fan post of the year.

Wiggins is the most talented Kansas player in your lifetime, he's a good kid, and it's usually a solid idea to have the basketball team with the best player on the floor.

If he was born a year earlier you're probably touting him as one of the greatest players in the history of the program.

Of course, he'd probably be doing that too if he had a good game today. But because he didn't, he must be ripped to shreds and his character and effort must be thrown into question!

"Fans" like this are truly the worst.

None of which are on KU's recruiting radar. KU is paying attention to the following:

Justin Simon (5*), Marcus LoVett (4*), Jarvis Johnson (4*), and Bakari Evelyn (NR).

I don't agree with PB on everything he's said, obviously, but I will agree on one thing. Big 12 tournament champions should always be treated as a stepping stone to far higher goals throughout the season, and shouldn't be something that is heavily bragged about. Kind of similar to winning your division in other professional sports.

It's all about what you do with the opportunity once you hit the post season.

College players don't owe fans jack squat, they tried their best and without Embiid this teams best wasn't good enough to really contend in March. But I do think the guy earning $5m per year does owe the fans some answers for what I consider his worst coaching job since he got here. Don't care we lost 10 for the first time under him, brutal schedule/new team. But in the end we didn't really accomplish anything this season.

Andrew got us a league title and now he's gone. Embiid, barely knew ya. If Selden actually declares then he was a total waste of a scholly. We didn't develop anyone this year really with a future here, seems like we are back to square one next year.

Vitale was just talking about freshmen that would benefit from an extra year, first two he mentioned were Wiggins and Embiid, hopefully they heard it.

Think about where we would have been (and how much you would be melting down) if we didn't nab Embiid Wiggins and Selden.

Do you really think Andrew White III and Brennan Greene and Landen Lucas are going to win much more than 6-8 conference games? Christ almighty dude. The schedule would have looked something like this without those guys.

Duke L
Iona W
Towson W
Wake Forest L
Nova L
UTEP L
@Colorado L
@Florida L(OL)
New Mexico L
Georgetown L
Toledo W
SDSU L
@OU L
KSU W?
@ISU L
OSU L
Baylor L
@TCU W
ISU L
@UT L
@Baylor L
WVU W?
@KSU L
TCU W
@TT L
UT L
OU L
@OSU L
TT W
@WV L
1st round of Big 12 L

That is 8-27.

Bitch about these dudes all you want but if this team goes 8 and mother****ing 27 you are picketing KUs campus calling for Bill Self's head. This team lost ALL of it's starters, and won the toughest conference in the nation. Why? Because Embiid is a man among boys, Wiggins is ****ing good, and Seldon hit a shitton of shots and played defense like no one on the team not named Wiggins can do.

So they didn't win it all like Melo did at Syracuse or Cal's did at UK. They still gave us a watchable season. They didn't ruin your life, they made it better. Shut the **** up about it.

I'm pretty sure Wiggins gives 0 ****s about what that goddamned blowhard says.

He gone.

I'm counting on Embiid being gone, but he has a far higher chance of staying.

Sorry Buehler that you don't read what I wrote. Already said Andrew won us the league. Please read better. As for Embiid & Selden though, they are wasted schollies if they go NBA. Embiid was the difference between what, a 2-seed we got and getting a 7 seed? So what, we still lose 2nd round anyway. What difference does it make? (Selden didn't make any impact at all really this season, we could've played White or Greene or Frankamp and had the same record)

Going into next year we should've developed some guys more. Just my .02 Maybe you liked seeing Conner ride the bench the entire year.

Yeah I'm pretty sure Wiggins is long gone as well. I'd rather see Embiid stay another year anyways.
