We recently removed Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition from sale on Beamdog and the Apple App Store. We've taken this step at our publishing partner's request as we attempt to resolve a number of contractual issues.

Unfortunately, until this matter is resolved, we are unable to release the latest Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition patch or Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition for Android.

This also prevents the launch of Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition. I sincerely apologize to the series' fans and promise we are working diligently to remedy the situation.

That's been going on for 6 or 7 weeks now as I recall.

The original titles are on gog, and are easily moddable (I actually just bought them a few weeks ago). But I also wouldn't sweat $5 for the EE. Especially if the situation with (I think) Atari gets worked out and we eventually see enhanced editions of other Infinity Engine titles, and the possibility of a Kickster Baldur's Gate 3, as remote as all of that looks right now.

Yea, that aspect doesn't bother me too much. Its the bugs that the reviews claim are in the EE that make me nervous.

I also used GoG to get Baldur's Gate 2. That's a great website.

There's a huge patch basically ready to go as soon as the publisher issues are worked out (if they're worked out).

I picked up a pack on GoG for $20 that has the entire BG series plus all dlc, IWD 1/2 complete, PS:T and NWN 1/2 complete. I was pretty happy.

My goodness that is a great Pack!! I wish I would have noticed that.

I only bought Baldur's Gate 2 off of there because I didn't want to do a 6 disc install. Who does that anymore? lol.

Im pretty sure I got the entire BG series off GoG, including SoA, and all the packs for 5 bucks. This was a few years ago but still.

I just bought Civ 5 for $7.49 due to a Reddit thread about how addictive it is.

Is it a good idea to spend 5 more for the "Gold" upgrade while it's on sale? (Normally $20)
